3rd Person POV
ronnie soon got out of the water and she went to her cabin. she walked in and she changed her clothes as she removed the left over ballon scraps and smiled
"ronnie" peggy said and she turned her softly
"hi peg?" she asked and peggy smiled at the nickname
"thank you for today, i know it was shane's idea but we needed a break. she was overworking us and i couldn't take it anymore" peggy complained and ronnie sighed sadly as ella spoke up
"is this how it is for you?" she asked and ronnie rubbed her hands against peggy and ella's arm
"yes and no but guys this is summer camp and i understand not wanting the camp to shut down but today, what we did , that's what summer camp is all about. it's not about work and surviving, it's about being a kid and having fun" she said and they both nodded
"are you going to the dock?" ella asked and she smiled
"you guys noticed?" she asked and they both laughed as they nodded their head and she chuckled
"course we notice ronnie, it's one of the things that we know that no one else does well besides ronnie and nate" ella said and she hugged them softly
"thank you guys" she whispered and she grabbed her guitar from beside her bed before she turned and waved at them softly
"have fun" they said together and she nodded before she left the cabin and she went to the dock.
"ronnie" nate said and he sat down next to her as she looked at him and set her guitar down in her lap
"hey" she said and he smiled
"there was a moment earlier right?" he asked and she blushed as she nodded and he smiled
"yeah yeah there was" she spoke
"i'm glad but before we do this, i want to tell you everything and i know you've been waiting to me to tell you everything but i don't know how to say it so i'm writing you a song, is that okay?" he asked and she nodded softly
"nobody's ever written me a song before" she whispered and he smiled brightly
"not even that ex" he asked and she shook her head
"not even her" she spoke and he nodded towards her guitar
"new song?" he questioned and she nodded her head as she pulled it into her lap and started to strum a random tune
"i wrote it a few days ago when i had free time and mitchie wasn't breathing down my neck, want to hear it?" she asked and his eyes widened
"you'd let me?" he asked and she giggled softly
"i would do you want to?" she asked again
"yeah yeah of course show me" he said and she chuckled softly before she started to play the song
"sorrows of the earth may our tears of rain wash down to bathe you this is what life is worth when the fires still burn and rage all around can you hear that dreadful sound? fire still burning on the ground" she sang and he started to sway along to it as he listened with a smile on his face
"follow the fearsome around as they march to battle, hear the drums pound we do not fight for war but to save the life's of those who do so can you hear that dreadful sound? fire still burning on the ground" she sang and she hummed softly
"can you feel my love rising with the heat above? life's the story of ascending to the stars as one " she continued and nate laid down as she serenaded him and she looked down at him and giggled before continuing
"marching across the land is a peaceful army joining the band walking hand in hand to an anthem loudly sung where they stand Can you hear that dreadful sound? Fire still burning on the ground" she sang and he joined in at the refrain as she smiled brightly
"La-da-da-la-la-la-da La-da-da-la-la-la-da" he sang and she shook her head as he filled in the bridge for her
"can you feel my love rising with the heat above? life's the story of ascending to the stars as one" they sang together
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Whoa, oh Na Rising Above and above it Above, yeah, above, yeah La-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na-na-na-na" she sang out with him and she put her guitar down as he looked at her
"ronnie that was beautiful" he said and she smiled softly
"really?" she questioned and he nodded softly before he grabbed her hand and he ran his thumb over it
"i'm glad you were able to take the time to write that ronnie" he spoke and she smiled
"me too, i just wish i had more time to be with you and talk to you" she said and he nodded
"i do too but that song will tell you everything ronnie i swear and i promise you that anything and everything you want to know will be there. it's pretty late though, you should head to bed" he said and she nodded as she leaned in and kissed his cheek softly
"goodnight nate" she whispered and he smiled
"night ronnie" he spoke and she turned around as she walked into her cabin missing the bonfire. she laid down on her bed and she stared at the ceiling with a smile
"oh god i'm in deep" she spoke and she fell asleep
she was actually calm with him, he was natural and normal and caring. he really was her moonlight
