3rd Person POV
"ronnie what are you doing out here, you need to be working" mitchie said and ronnie moved her guitar from her lap as she stood up and she faced her
"mitchie i helped for five hours, five! i needed a break, this is summer camp not the rest of our life's and god forbid that i try to sing and calm myself down when i feel cramped up and tired" ronnie stated and mitchie threw her hands up in the air
"you always work ronnie what's the difference now? you're basically your parents cash cow" she said and ronnie scoffed as she stared at her
"the difference? the difference is that i thought i can take a break and breathe mitchie but you are breathing down everyones neck like we're going to die if we don't do this. i don't want the camp to shut down either but using us as workers and kicking our butts. we can't even have fun anymore" she stated and mitchie sighed
"it's not about having fun, it's about camp and winning" mitchie tried
"to you mitchie! but to me, to nate, to jason, to peggy and ella and barron and sander and the junior rockers, this isn't about winning this is about having fun and you're taking that away" she exclaimed
"you don't know that" mitchie said and ronnie shook her head
"but i do ronnie and it's easy to see it, you're being a fun vampire and i can't stand it" she said and mitchie scoffed
"fun vampire?! you didn't even come to this camp before, you wouldn't get it" and ronnie scoffed
"maybe not but at least i know the difference between fun and working to death" she said and she grabbed her guitar as she walked away from mitchie and went to the mess hall to be met with the others
"oh ronnie thank god you're here, we've been working so much and we decided to take a break, apple?" ella said and ronnie took it gratefully with a smile
"thanks ella" she said as she bit into it and she sat down next to her as they started talking , that was until mitchie walked in and it got silent as she walked over to caitlyn and sander
"hey, what are you guys doing? i thought you were gonna be rehearsing" mitchie exclaimed and ronnie scoffed
"fun vampire" she coughed and barron snorted softly
"whoa , calm down. we've been rehearsing for over five hours. we're just taking a little break" caitlyn stated
"yeah that excuse won't work with her" she said and mitchie snapped her head towards her in annoyance before looking back at them
"really? because i was watching and it looks like we're gonna need a lot more work" mitchie said
"okay rude" ronnie spoke and mitchie shook her head as she walked over to peggy and barron
"okay she's taking our sunshine away" caitlyn said to sander as they looked at an annoyed ronnie
"nobody takes away sunshine" sander said and ronnie looked up as she smiled sadly at them
"hi sunshine" caitlyn spoke and ronnie smiled
"hi" she said and she stood up as she leaned her head against caitlyn's shoulder and she watched in annoyance
"hey if you're sunshine does that mean nate is moonlight?" sander said and ronnie looked at him with her eyebrows furrowed
"we all know about you too and he likes you ronnie , just saying" sander said and she shook her head as she laughed softly under her breathe
"okay we can talk about it later, let's watch the fun vampire suck more fun out of people" ronnie said and they both nodded as they turned and watched
"you guys done already?" mitchie complains
"no, he was telling me this story about his sister. it's hilarious. you have to tell her" peggy said as she giggled
"oh is it the one about the group of kids that didn't take their jobs seriously and then the camp shut down? yeah i think i've heard it" mitchie said and ronnie stood up
"you just said it mitchie, kids. we're kids! let us be kids for one day!" she said and they all agreed before jason ran in with the kids
"okay not them" ronnie spoke
"hey , mitchie. you've got to check out this bit me and and the j.rs worked out. it's a real spotlight moment" jason said and ronnie sighed
"that's great. i'm sure whatever it is, it's just gonna have to be more of a background moment" mitchie said and ronnie stood up
"hey show me!" she said and jason smiled as the kid held out his hand and ronnie grabbed it
"lead the way" she stated and she followed them with a smile on her face
"has she been like that all day?" jason whispered and she nodded
"she's a fun vampire truly, it's like we can't do anything without her breathing down my neck. she's acting like my mom to be quite honest" she said and she shivered as jason laughed at her shivering softly
"oh that's just scary" he said and he led her into the room as they led her to a seat and they sat her down
"alright show me!" she said and they all nodded as they ran to their guitars and their equipment. jason started to play softly as they joined in not long after him and ronnie swayed to the music as she watched with a smile
"wow!" she whispered as she watched their eyes light up as they played along with jason and she started to sway. one of them ran over and grabbed her hand as they forced her to stand up and she stood with them
"here!" the kid said and he spun her as they started to dance along to the music together. she threw her head back and laughed with a smile shining brightly
nate walked by but he stopped when he noticed her dancing and smiling at the playing. jason watched her with a smile too. he understood why nate liked her so much
she was natural and normal and fun. she truly was sunshine
-ABBYS NOTES- nah mitchie shunning them was horrible. give the j.rs some credit, those kids were amazing
