This past week has been brutal for me.

Not only did I start my period two days ago, causing my body to ache in pain due to my unbearable cramps, but the schools dance squad had to perform for the baseball team yesterday. And then there's me right now, body aching and my thighs and stomach feeling like I'm being stabbed a hundred times at once.

"Well you look like shit." My dance partner, Javier, says with a humorous grin on his face.

I shoot him a glare while rubbing my stomach, praying the cramps will just go away.

"Shut the fuck up." I growl, stabbing into my pasta and shoving the fork in my mouth.

His boyfriend laughs next to him as I continue to devour every piece of my lunch.

Since tryouts, Javier and I have grown to become really good friends. Since Mila is always with her boyfriend, which I can't stand, I've been eating lunch in the cafeteria with them.

My glare switches from Javier and Xavier and I swear I want to punch them both in the nose. They've been together since sophomore year and their couple name is Vier. Which I think is cute since their names are so similar.

Javier is a tall dude. Almost 6'3 with broad shoulders, dark tan skin and near black curly hair that always seem to fall over his brown eyes. He tends to stray away from everyone and just focus on dance or is school work. People don't bother looking his way because of his intimidating features. Now as for Xavier, he's only two inches taller than me with a super sweet personality and dyed platinum blonde hair and bright hazel eyes. He's a cute skinny white boy that likes to tie up his school shirt to show off his stomach.

He's been a proud gay man since he was just a boy and when Javier saw people picking on him sophomore year, well let's just say it wasn't pleasant. Javier never knew he liked men until he stumble upon his now loving boyfriend.

They're complete opposites and it's absolutely adorable.

"Once you both grow a vagina and have to endure the pain of blood slipping out of your uterus, don't talk to me." I saw as I throw my trash away in the nearest garage bin.

They continue to laugh at my pain as they both eat their lunch while I just lean my head against the table.

"Today is the last day of school before break, do you have any plans with your family?" Xavier asks me with a kind smile. If I wasn't in so much pain, I would've smiled back.

I don't have any plans for the break. My mother will more than likely just work and ignore me and I refuse to expect Ms. Camille's invite to go over to her house. She already does so much for me and I don't want to feel like I'm intruding on her family time.

"Yes." I lie and drop the subject completely.

The bell rings indicating that lunch is over and since it's a half day for the seniors, I grab my things and head out to my car.

"Bye, Nina!" Xavier calls out with his high pitched voice.

I turn around to wave back and I don't miss the glare Javier throws people when they snicker at his boyfriend. They immediately stop and turn away and a laugh finally bubbles out of me.
