Chapter 9

Sidney's POV

I'm really tired. One week had past since I last saw my son. My parents are worried but I can't hide the truth. Hindi ako makatulog kakaisip sa anak ko and I'm crying cause I really do miss my baby Sandler. Ilang beses ko ng pinuntahan si Caleb sa office nya para makita siya, but according to the receptionist he's out of the country.

"To tell you honestly Ms. Ashworth, malaking tao ang kalaban mo and this is going to be a serious tough fight."

I sighed heavily. I am currently talking to Atty. Montero. He's one of the best lawyer of the country at hindi lang dito sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa ibang bansa ang mga kasong naipanalo nito. May edad na din ito pero kita mo ang galing niya. We're here in his office to discuss everything. Hindi pa ko kinocontact ng assistant ni Caleb pero dapat handa na kami.

"I'm aware of that Attorney. But we are going to win, right?"

Literal na akong walang trabaho. I can't just fly in London without my son. Kung sa tingin ni Caleb ay mapapaalis niya ako dahil sa career ko, nag kakamali siya. Natatakot na lang ako na baka isang araw, kung saan na lang niya dalhin palayo ang anak ko.

"But there's also a big chance that you're going to win. Sandler is not yet on the right age to decide kung kanino sya sasama, and knowing that he's only two years old.. Dapat sayo talaga ang custody ng bata."

Hinding hindi ako mawawalan ng pagasa sa anak ko. I'm willing to do everuthing just to have him back at makasama siya. Ngayon lang siya nalayo sa akin ng matagal. I held his hand.

"Please Attorney. Gawin nyo lahat ng kaya nyong gawin para manalo tayo."

I was like begging and asking him a big favor. Nginitian ako nito and there my phone starts ringing. I look on it and found out that Vixen is calling.

"Excuse me, I'll just take this." Saglit akong lumabas sa opisina. Ilang araw na din kaming walang communication. I felt bad na hindi niya alam na nandito pa ko. But I have to do this dahil ayokong mag alala pa siya at masangkot pa dito. He's a very busy man and his company needs him.

"Hello Vixen. Kamusta?" The other line is silent but I can hear is breathe. Kumunot ang noo ko ng hindi ito magsalita.

"Vixen, is there any problem?" Masama ang kutob ko. Kapag tumatawag siya, Lagi itong excited mag kwento at kausapin ako. I hope he's okay dahil hindi ko siya mapupuntahan para damayan siya.

"The.. the company is failing Sid.." He said slowly and I can hear the he's breaking. My eyes grew wide. Pati ako ay nanlumo sa nalaman ko. How is it possible? Matatag ang company nila and it's very successful.

"T-Teka.. Pano nangyari yun? I thought everything was fine?!" Napahawak ako sa noo ko. I hope I'm wrong. Wala sanang kinalaman si Caleb dito. Vixen doesn't deserve this! All this time he was helping me at wala siyang kinalaman sa alitan namin ni Caleb. Hindi siya dapat madamay!

"A big investor of our company pulled out his account. Isinama pa niya ang ilang mga shareholders namin.." A tear fell down. Dinadamay na niya ang ibang tao? Ano bang gusto niyang mangyari? I told him that he can do everything that he wants FOR ME. Kung gagantihan nya ko. No matter how hard and painful, tatanggapin ko because I deserve it.

"I-I wish I was there with you. I'm sorry Vixen. Magiging okay din ang lahat. Kaya mo yan"

Marahan kong inuntog ang ulo ko sa pader. Really Sidney? Is that all you can do for him? After all that he did to help you. According to my Attorney, Malaki ang maitutulong ni Vixen sa kaso namin. Because he knows everything that happened in the past three years. Pero ngayon pa lang ganyan na ang nangyayari sa kanya? Do you think I'm going to risk his life just for my own sake? I can't do that!
