I felt like I had my eyelids stitched as I was already in my consciousness but still had difficulty opening my eyes. I forced an eye open to have a glance at my surroundings, and found out that I was in my room. Great!

I smiled.

I remembered that I have school today.

I feel like my head is being axed open.

What happened last night? How many drinks did I drink? How could I do that?! Most importantly... how did I get home?

I went partying last night, but the memory of what had happened was completely wiped out of my mind, and it doesn't help that every time I'll try to recall anything, my brain keeps throbbing, doubling the pain of my headache.

“Ugh! I won't ever drink liquor again! Ishh—” The stinging pain of my now crusty lips hinders me from stretching my lips too wide. If only I had known drinking felt like this, I wouldn't have bothered going to that bar!

Wait? What's the name of that bar again? Ah, shit!

I have drunk wine and champagne before… what kind of liquor have I drunk last night to be this wasted? HELL’S WATER??!

I put on a robe after taking a bath for almost a couple of hours, making sure that none of the remnants of that bar or the liquor I have drunk would be left on me. As soon as I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Eddie, my makeup artist, waiting beside my vanity mirror together with her assistant.

Her eyes widened the moment she saw me. “Did you drink?” Eddie asked while both of her hands were on her chest.

I sighed and walked lifelessly to sit in front of the vanity mirror. The face was rosy, not the kind of blush that you would have when your crush walked past you, but red as in I have just gotten a rash. To top it off, I have puffy eyes too.

“Chanty, go ask the maids for honey water!”

“Do you think you can fix this?” I pointed my face and surveyed it in the mirror. I’m disgusted just by looking at my reflection. Lalo na sa school, I can't be photographed looking like jollibee. Makaka-sira ‘to ng image ko!

“Of course, Dear. You're naturally beautiful. Kaya madali lang yan!” Paninigurado niya that makes me calm down for a bit. Since she has been working for me for a long time now, I can confirm that she's excellent at her job. I haven't had breakouts whenever she tries new things on me. Of course, she only chooses the best for her best client.

The newest Shrek in town!
