"Martini!" My gaze was fixed on the dancefloor as I ordered, precisely as I had seen in the movie. I let my body follow the rhythm of the crowds as they danced.

Ah! It's a lot more fun to party in a bar than it was at the previous one. Everything was spoilt by my father.

"My feet hurts," I said and tucked my hair behind my ear so he could fully see me.

I smiled when he jumped off of his stool and gestured me to sit. Naupo na agad ako rito.

"It is unthinkable for a beautiful person like you to be alone in this bar." I heard a baritone voice next to me.

"Wrong," I said, grabbing the martini glass I'd ordered a while ago. He leaned forward to me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Hah!" I mockingly laughed so loud so he could hear. "You were too handsome to be dumb!" I screamed and slapped his shoulder. His smile twitched a bit and pulled away his shoulder an inch before I continued, "that I'm not beautiful. It should be GOR-GEOUS! Okay?!" I said, emphasizing the word 'gorgeous' and felt every syllable of it scraping my throat. And without a doubt, drink my martini one-shot. I winced and stucked my tongue out as I feel the alcohol draw a burning heat into my throat.

I am not alone. I was with a couple of friends. It was just that I lost them already, and it is my fault, though. Kinuha ko kasi ang glasses ni Bessie, that's her name I don't know why too, nang pumasok kami ng bar.

I could still feel the weight of her glasses inside my purse. Her glasses were as thick as the airplane glass window!

I don't worry that much about her. Alam kong kasama niya si Maria Gracia, my manang na friend. She's the most responsible among us.

I received a text from our Head housemaid, saying my Dad, the best father of all, decided not to send me to a faraway land. It's always been like this; they never message me personally, but rather through someone else, as if I'm not a member of the family.

If I am being honest, before, being away from them was all I have ever wanted, but I have changed my mind. Now that I have been given a second shot at life.

I blinked multiple times when the man beside me became more handsome every second. His hand travelling from the counter onto my back, I pulled myself away from him.

"Here's your drink."

Then it hits me.

"I-i need to go find my friends now," I told him before turning my back on him.

Lalo lang akong nahilo nang madaan sa gitgitan na mga tao, bodies bumping against each other, jiggling my head because of the impact. All I know is that I needed to get away from that man. I should not have drank that liquor without second thoughts!
