The Dalek then moves forward with its plunger in the air again. The Doctor peeks from the wall to see the Dalek coming. It blasts at the UNIT jeeps, blowing them into fire and smoke. The Dalek then turns to Bessie and opens fire. The flashing of the rays causes Bessie to start smoking, before catching fire and burning in flames. The Dalek turns its head around as the Doctor fills himself with anger – his car had been destroyed.
Brigadier:
Doctor, come back!
Doctor:
That Dalek has destroyed my car, Brigadier. You know how much I love that car of mine.
Brigadier:
We've got to go!
The Doctor, still filled with rage, runs back to the end of the lane, a T-junction, and the men stand at arms with their weaponry to destroy the Dalek with.
Doctor:
You make sure you shoot at it this time, Brigadier.
Brigadier:
Right, stand ready.
They all nervously wait for the Dalek, but an unexpected blast from the wall exploding debris and rubble at them cause the troops to fall back. The Doctor stands at the front with his Sonic Screwdriver pointed out as the Dalek emerges. Its eye turns at them. The Sonic has activated again, as is Jo's device, and UNIT fires and launch everything it can at it, but they are still totally ineffective against the Dalek.
Dalek:
UNIT TROOPS WILL ALL BE EXTERMINATED! MAXIMUM FIREPOWER! EXTERMINATE!
Everyone hurries out of the way again, just before the Dalek fires, and kills two more troops. As the Dalek makes its way down the lane, the UNIT forces are yet again lumbered with hiding from it.
Brigadier:
We couldn't hold it back on the museum, what chance can we have here?
Doctor:
No wait, I've got an idea. It's a long shot, but you'll have to trust me.
The Dalek begins firing at the walls, houses, cars, etc. Explosions boom as wreckage topples and smashes to the ground. Fire burns and destruction lies across the Dalek as it runs forward with more chaos about to be relished...
