Chapter 20

*4 days later*

Hermione’s POV:

‘I’ll see you later, I have to go to the library.’ I said to Harry and I walked out of the Great Hall.
I walked through the hallways of Hogwarts. I was with my thoughts far away. I am really in love with Draco Malfoy. I smiled while I passed the corner.
‘Mu… Hermione wait!’ I heard behind me.
I turned around and there came Draco running towards me. I smiled and stopped walking.
‘Hee.’ I said smiling.
‘Hee.’ Draco said.
Draco looked different, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
‘Can I talk to you?’ Draco asked.
Draco’s voice sounded different too.
‘Are you ill?’ I asked while I reached out to his forehead, but Draco stepped away so I couldn’t reach it.
‘What? No.’ Draco said.
‘You’re voice sounds weird.’ I said.
‘Nothing wrong can we go?’ Draco asked.
‘Yeah sure, where to?’ I asked.
‘Where are we always sitting?’ Draco asked.
I looked at him while I lifted one eyebrow up. What kind of stupid question was that?
‘The library or the Black lake….’ I said.
‘Which one do you want to go to?’ Draco asked.
‘Does it matter?’ I asked.
‘Not really.’ Draco said.
‘Well then let’s go to the Black lake.’ I said.
I walked first and Draco followed me. Then Ginny passed us. Ginny smiled while she said hello and she walked further.
‘Why are you walking behind me?’ I asked.
Draco looked at me and it looked like he was doubting, but then he fastened is pass and walked next to me. We arrived at the Black lake a few minutes of silent later and we sat down on the bench.
‘What’s wrong?’ I asked.
‘I wanted to talk to you about… us.’ Draco said.
‘Okay… what’s wrong?’ I asked worried.
‘I don’t know about this anymore…’ Draco said.
‘What are you saying?’ I asked.
‘I’m breaking up with you.’ Draco said.
My jaw dropped but I recovered myself.
‘What? Why?’ I asked getting tears in my eyes.
‘I don’t love you! I never had.’ Draco said cold.
My eyes widened as he said that.
‘But…’ I said.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
‘I don’t love you, I love someone else. Always has.’ Draco said.
‘Who?’ I asked and another tear rolled down my cheek.
‘Pansy Parkinson.’ Draco said.
‘You hate her.’ I said.
That was just the weirdest thing I had ever heard Draco say.
‘No I love her.’ Draco said.
‘Just get over it Mudblood.’ Draco said and he stood up.
‘HERMIONE!’ I heard behind me.
This voice belonged to the person who was standing there in front of me… Draco Malfoy. I turned around and…

Draco’s POV:

‘Hee Harry.’ I said smiling while I walked through the hallway.
‘Hee Dra… What are you doing here?’ Harry asked.
‘What do you mean?’ I asked confused.
‘I just saw you talking with Hermione.’ Harry said.
‘That’s not possible I was in the Great Hall.’ I said.
‘But when I walked out of the Great Hall I saw you talking to Hermione, I know it for sure.’ Harry said.
‘Seriously I think you’re seeing ghosts.’ I said laughing.
‘No! I’m serious! Do you have a twin?’ Harry asked.
‘C’mon! Harry this isn’t funny.’ I said.
‘Hee Harry and… Draco what are you doing here aren’t you supposed to be with Hermione?’ Ginny asked while she walked towards us.
‘You too?’ I asked.
‘I haven’t seen Hermione since she walked out of the Great Hall.’ I said.
‘Dude I really saw you walking with her through the hallway just a minute ago.’ Ginny said.
‘Did you two bump your heads?’ I asked.
‘No really, I said hi to you two.’ Ginny said.
‘Wasn’t it just someone who looked like me?’ I asked.
‘No it was you!’ Harry and Ginny said at the same time.
Then Blaise passed them.
‘Zabini! Can you tell them I was a minute ago sitting next to you at the Slytherin table.’ I said grabbing Blaise’s arm so he would stop.
‘Yeah he was just with me, but he wanted to go to Hermione.’ Blaise said.
‘But we just saw him with her.’ Ginny said.
‘Really that’s not possible.’ Blaise said.
‘But guys I have to go now.’ Blaise said.
‘See you later.’ I said and Blaise ran away.
I walked with Harry and Ginny towards the library and we packed the books we needed. Then Blaise rushed into the library.
‘DRACO!’ Blaise yelled.
‘Sssssh!’ Someone said.
‘Draco! Pansy is up to something!’ Blaise said while he stopped with running when he reached our table.
‘What are you talking about?’ I asked confused.
‘Pansy has stuff laying in her room. She made a potion.’ Blaise said.
‘WHAT?’ I said shocked.
‘Do you know where she is?’ I asked.
‘I don’t know.’ Blaise said.
‘That can explain that we saw you with Hermione. Pansy made a polyjuice potion!’ Harry said.
‘We have to find Hermione before something happens.’ Ginny said.
We all stood up and ran out of the library.
‘Which way did they go?’ I asked.
‘They went outside I think.’ Ginny said.
‘I know where they went.’ I said as I fastened my steps.
We ran through the hallways towards the Black Lake. I was just hoping we wouldn’t be too late. What was Pansy going to do to Hermione? When we were outside I ran as fast as I could towards the Black Lake. Finally I saw Hermione sitting on the bench with… me. I was standing in front of her!
‘HERMIONE!’ I yelled as I ran fast towards her.
She turned around and I saw that she shock.
‘LEAVE HER ALONE!’ I yelled to the other me.
‘What are you talking about?’ The other me asked.
‘Who are you?’ Hermione asked sobbing.
I saw she was crying but why?
‘Hermione, it’s me.’ I said.
‘Is this some kind of joke?’ Hermione asked.
‘No Hermione, what did she do?’ I asked worried while I kneeled down in front of her.
I reached out to her cheeks so I could wipe the tears away but she turned her face.
‘She?’ Hermione asked.
‘HERMIONE!’ I heard Ginny say behind me.
I heard the footsteps of three people coming closer.
‘Wha- what is all of this?’ Hermione asked confused.
‘That over there is Pansy.’ I said pointing at the other me.
‘Hermione listen to him, this is Draco, we were with him in the library.’ Ginny said.
Hermione looked at me and I saw another tear rolling over her cheek.
‘Hermione please believe me.’ I begged her.
‘How can you know so sure this is Draco?’ Hermione asked.
‘Because he left the Great Hall after you and then talked with Harry.’ Ginny said.
‘At the time Harry saw you two Draco was still with me in the Great Hall.’ Blaise said.
Hermione looked so confused, why didn’t she just believe me how could I show her I was the real me.
‘Pansy just say it! We all know it is you!’ I said getting angry at her.
‘Where are you talking about? I am Draco guys believe me!’ Pansy said.
I dropped my jaw in disbelieve. Did she really say it.
‘Guys you know it’s me.’ I said turning to Blaise, Ginny and Harry.
They looked at the two of us.
‘What did she say to you?’ I asked looking into Hermione’s eyes.
‘You, he, she whatever that Draco over there…. Well uhm… he broke up with me.’ Hermione said looking down at the ground and another tear rolled over her cheek.
‘She did what?’ I said looking at the other me.
At this point I was furious.
‘PARKINSON TELL HER THE TRUTH!’ I yelled at her.

Hermione’s POV:

‘You, he, she whatever that Draco over there…. Well uhm… he broke up with me.’ I stuttered  looking down at the ground and another tear rolled over my cheek.
‘She did what?’ Draco said looking at the other Draco.
I looked up at Draco and saw he was getting furious.
‘PARKINSON TELL HER THE TRUTH!’ Draco yelled at the Draco who broke up with me.
I was so confused, what is happening here? Who is the real Draco?
I looked up and looked at Draco in front of me. The one who came here with my friends. His eyes widened and then he looked fast down at me.
‘Hermione look at her.’ Draco said.
I turned around and saw “Draco’s” face changing. His hair color was getting darker.
‘What…’ I said.
‘I said that was Pansy! She made Polyjuice.’ Draco said.
I got up and starred at Draco who was changing back to Pansy.
‘Why?’ I asked.
‘What have I ever done to you?’ I asked walked towards her.
‘You ruined my life and you’re a filthy mudblood!’ Pansy snapped.
‘SHUT IT PARKINSON!’ Draco said to her.
Pansy looked at Draco and then back to me. She pulled out her wand and aimed it at me.
‘My plan had almost worked out like I had planned.’ Pansy said.
‘Pansy drop your wand.’ Draco said.
‘I don’t think so.’ Pansy said.
I felt Draco packing my wrist and he pulled me slowly backwards.
‘Stand still!’ Pansy snapped.
I slowly reached to the pocket of my robe and wrapped my fingers around my own wand. I fast pulled it out.
‘Expelliarmus.’ I said.
I caught Pansy’s wand as it came towards me.
‘Petrificus Totalus.’ I said next and used the body bind spell on Pansy.
Pansy fell to the ground while she gave us, especially me and Draco, a deathly glare.
‘Stop it!’ Pansy said.
‘We have to go to McGonagall.’ Harry said.
‘Good idea.’ Ginny said.
I turned to Draco and he gave me a smile. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a tight hug.
‘Sorry I didn’t believe you.’ I said.
‘Doesn’t matter, but remember one thing, I will always love you and I will never break up with you!’ Draco said gentle.
I looked in his eyes and nodded smiling. Draco came closer and he kissed me gently.
