Chapter 1: Memories

~ Tenten ~
As my alarm goes off i rub my eyes and look outside my window it's too early for this. Training with Guy sensei is hard, i want to stay in bed but i can't. I get up and start getting ready. I brush my long hair and start to do my two little buns. I leave the house in a hurry with my bag full of kunai's

I get to the training grounds and i see i'm the first one there i start setting up then i see Neji walking towards me

"You're up early" he said

"Well i thought Guy Sensei and Lee would already be here so i hurried up" as i said that we saw those two dumb asses running upside down

"GOOD MORNING NEJI AND TENTEN" both screamed Guy sensei and Lee

I was always annoyed of those two

I look at Neji and he looked annoyed too, i always wonder what is going through his head. Hes always quiet, i didnt realize i was still staring at him until we made eye contact

~ Neji ~

Those two always doing something dumb and random too early in the morning. i realize that Tenten is staring at me, i make eye contact with her

I dont know why i had the urge to do that, she gets embarassed

Anyways we start training, once we are done Lee and Guy Sensei are still going to keep up doing more training while me and Tenten are going home

~ Tenten ~
Once we are done i pick up my things and i start to leave. I feel hungry i'm thinking of getting food maybe ichiraku ramen. i turn around to look at neji
"hey do you want to go get ramen?" i asked hopping he would

"uh sure" he said as he started walking towards me

we walk there in silence, but it wasn't uncomfortable

we order our food and start talking

"remember the first time we came here?" i asked looking at Neji

"yes i do, it was the first day of us being part of Team Guy" he said looking down

"that was years ago, i can't believe now we are joinin" i said

"i remember the first time meeting you guys. Lee was annoying like always, he had long hair and no bowl cut like Guy Sensei and you bangs with 2 buns and was always talking about Lady Tsunade" Neji said

"i remember that, i always respected her for her work and admired her... well you were always mean and rude well more like brutally honest and i remember when you hated the Hyuga's and their destiny in life. now you've changed" i said 

even though i remember seeing him for the 1st time. he was cold hearted all he cared about was him being strong 

"yeah it was all thanks to him. without meeting him none of this would've changed. i would've hated it even more and becomed more ice cold" he said

"somehow he changed all of us" i said

"here's the ramen" teuchi said

"thank you" we both said

We ate and kept some small talk

"Tenten i'll walk you home" he said

"okay sure. we are making a quick stop tho. i want to get some ice cream" i said

"sure, it's fine" he said

We walked to this place, we used to get ice cream here all of us together when we were genin. we would finish our training and go get ice cream on a hot summer day

"what flavor are you planning on getting" he asked as he looked at the menu

"maybe strawberry or cookie dough ice cream" i said

"strawberry sounds good, i'll get that" he said

i ended up getting strawberry too but in a cone instead of a cup.

"i missed having ice cream" i said

"during summer we would get ice cream all of us together. i remember Lee would always get excited and so did you. while i just was there frustrated" he said

"yeah, it was always a great treat afterward so much work Guy sensei would put us through" i said looking down i didn't like to make eye contact with Neji. he always made me nervous it's not that he was judgemental of me or anything i just felt nervous all the time

"remember the chunin exams?" he asked

"yes, i got my ass beat by Temari" i said looking annoyed

"so did i but by Naruto" he said  "and i ended up hurting Lady Hinata badly"

"everyone was shocked Naruto Uzumaki beating a Hyuga, it was crazy, but you changed now thanks to that. You don't hate the Hyugas anymore or Hinata. It made you realize many things and the truth finally came out" i said

"yes that's true, i'm slightly thankful for him. without him nothing would've changed" he said

"yep and he's going to be your future family too, just look at him and hinata. they are so happy, i wish i had a relationship like that. They are always going on dates and they care for each other" i said

"don't remind me of Lady Hinata dating that little foxy boy. He will always be that obnoxious little foxy brat full of energy and loud" he said

i laughed

"i love how you call him little foxy brat. but still he's going to be your family member" i said teasingly him

"Tenten don't remind me" he said annoyed

We finished having ice cream and he walked me home

"thank you Neji for walking me all the way here" i said

"your welcome" he smiled as he left

I always wonder what is he thinking about

I decide to shower and change into something comfortable.
