Two long days passed before it was finally Friday. She had spent the time sewing herself a vintage Yves Saint Laurent peasant dress knock-off with silk she had bought with - yep - the mafia money. The cream silk had small red flower designs that looked so elegant yet simple. It wasn't really avant-garde like the guys wore, but it worked for her.

She put her hair half-up with a small claw clip and pulled some pieces down around her ears to look ~effortless~

She put her hair half-up with a small claw clip and pulled some pieces down around her ears to look ~effortless~. She swiped on the mascara and lip balm that Abbacchio had left for her and put on her old heels. She did a goofy dance in the mirror before saying bye to her mom and leaving.

"YES GIRL GET IT!" her mom cheered as she walked out the door. "But don't get pregnant like I did..." she muttered.

Fugo was waiting in a car outside to pick her up, and when he saw her, he rolled down the window and playfully whistled. "You're gonna give this man heart attack, girl." Narancia poked his head out of the backseat and shouted, "Hey! You look so pretty!"

"Thanks you guys," she laughed as she got in the passenger seat. She hadn't realized everybody would be having dinner at Bucciarati's tonight. Not that that makes it less special. It just makes it less date. Lira hum-sighed. Well, now I can just look hot for all the boys, she told herself and laughed at the thought.

"What's funny, Lira?" Narancia asked excitedly, wanting to laugh too.

She coughed. "Ah, I was just, um, wishing Abbacchio were around to do my makeup!" Narancia laughed. "Sometimes he does mine," he said. "He's pretty good at it, actually. For a cop, I guess!"

"Do you think he wore lipstick as a police officer?" Lira asked.

"Yea," Narancia answered, "for all that ass he had to kiss!"

"Narancia!" Fugo shouted while holding in his laughter. "Don't make fun of Abbacchio like that, we all make mistakes. Besides, you know he could put his stand in this car and replay this entire conversation if he wanted to."

"Whuhh?" Lira was awestruck.

"His stand, Moody Blues, replays memories. He'll probably never show you 'cause he's got a stick up his ass. But it lets him see things that already happened, even if he wasn't there. Which makes sense, considering he wanted to be a top detective, you know, solving mysteries and shit."

"Wow, Fugo, you're so smart!" Narancia gushed. "I never thought of it like that. Wait, then how come mine's a little airplane?"

"Little airplane?" Lira asked.

"Yea, it tracks people and shoots little plane bullets! Pew pew!"
