CHAPTER FORTY TWO

point of view | zayne ali

...

"it feels like ive known you for so long." i said looking at yasmine.

she smiled at me, "it does feel like that."

her and i were sitting in my car as usual stuck in traffic.

"how'd you enjoy your night?" i asked her.

she smiled at me, "i loved it."

i smiled right back at her, "you look amazing."

her cheeks flushed, "thank you. you look handsome."

now it was my turn to blush.

"thank you." i responded.

her and i shared a lengthy silence. it was the kind of silence people worked in. the silence people shared when they were lost in work or thought. it was nice in a way. being able to sit with her and for nothing to feel awkward. i enjoyed being with her, talking with her, everything about her.

"do you like forensic files?" yasmines voice asked.

i blinked and looked over at her, "hmm?"

"do you watch forensic files?" she asked me.

"oh. yeah." i answered shrugging.

"i was reading this book about like a girl solving a closed case," she told me, "got me into my murder faze again."

i laughed.

"my mom used to get so mad at me," she added, "because id watch so much stuff involving murder she was telling me it was unhealthy."

"you know how dramatic they can be." i commented.

she smiled nodding leaning her head back against the head of the seat.

"you tired?" i asked her and she nodded her head at me.

"mmhm." she responded closing her eyes.

i watched her for a moment before reaching my hand over and resting my hand on her lap, my fingers slipped down between both her thighs. her lips for a smile that faded within a few minuets; she begins to fall asleep.

...

while taking a right on east west connector a vibrating began sounding throughout my car. i looked over at yasmine and noticed her brows furrow. i reached over and took her phone from her hands. i flipped over the phone glancing at the road as i rolled to a stop at the red light. " dad " was the name on the phone screen and i swiped it answering it for her.

"hi, mr. alaoui," i called into the phone, "yasmine is asleep in the car right now."

"oh, zayne!" he responded happily, "taking care of her, right?"

"of course," i said into the phone, "shes right here sleeping. im on my way back to your house to drop her off."

"ah the keys under the mat, my wife and i have a business trip," he said to me, "make sure you let her know alright, son?"

"yes, sir," i answered, "i will. dont worry. is that all? anything else you want me to tell her?"

"nothing else," he responded, "i trust you. have a great rest of your night with her."

"i will," i answered taking a right into her neighborhood, "goodbye."

"bye." he said before her phone ringed the phone call ending.

i replaced her phone in her hand and took a left pulling into her drive way. i turned off my car and unlocked the doors. i opened the door and stepped out. i hurried over to the front door and grabbed the key from under the mat. i unlocked the door and opened it a crack. i turned away and walked back over to the car. i opened my side door and slipped my and yasmines phones into each of my back pockets. i backed out from my side of the car and shut the door walking around the front of the car and opening yasmines side of the car. i pulled on the handle and my eyes landed on her lovely physique; her dress hugged her beautifully. a smile formed along my lips as i leaned into her side of the car, unbuckling her seat belt.

"mmm." she stirred in her sleep.

i carefully lifted her dainty body from the seat, holding her bridal style. her delicate head laying on my collar bone. i used my hip to shut the door and carried her in my arms around the car and towards her front door. she was light so holding her up and making sure her neck wasnt in a bad position was an easy task. i used my hip to open the already cracked door. i stepped into her house. the lights were all off. i used my hip to shut the door and awkwardly locked the door while holding her up. i used my shoulder to turn the light on and the living room illuminated.

"house smells good." i hummed walking up the stairs with my sleeping beauty cradling closer into my chest.

i used my knee to open up her cracked bedroom door and i stepped into her room. my shoulder hit the light switch and her room lit up. i walked her over to her bed and slowly placed her on her back. her arms falling by her sides. i gently took off her heels and walked over and placed them by her closet. i the returned to her side and lifted up her legs making sure she was covered. i lifted up the blankets covering her to her neck up.

"you look so pretty." i said quietly to her.

my finger traced her cheek bones and my thumb gently pulled down on her lip. suddenly her arms reached up and around my neck pulling me down to her.

"uah-" i sounded as she hugged my head close to her.

"stay." she murmured quietly.

"wh-what?" i asked gently pulling away, my face in front of hers.

"stay with me," she pleaded, "please?"

her calm and gentle smile made me give in.

"until when?" i asked her.

"mmm forever." she answered.

my face heated up and i smiled looking at her, "really how long?"

"sleep with me." she said quietly.

thank God her eyes were closed because i know shed laugh if she saw how red my face currently was.

"bu-" i began and she shushed me.

"shhh," she whispered, "jus lay here with me, zayne."

i obliged and carefully tossed myself to her side.

"under." she told me beginning to pull down the blanket from where i pulled it up to.

my eyes widened and i quickly kicked off my shoes and placed our phones and my keys, making sure to lock my car, on the floor. her arms reached out for me and she pulled me into her; laying next to her. she cuddled her face into my chest and her arms laid on m chest. my heart was thumping.

"God," i breathed, "you're driving me crazy."

my arms slowly closed around her. i rested my head on hers taking in the warmth of her body and the kindness of her soul. ive never felt so content. this was it. i knew it. she was my person.
