George and Jake got married and Quentin, Anne, and Fanny returned for the wedding.

They told everyone their joyful news about George's pregnancy. And then to everyone's surprise George gave birth to triplets! All of them were boys! George was happy to have three sons and named them Dick, Timmy, and Liam

George, Jake, and their sons moved away and went to live off-grid in the forest as George liked the idea of living like that and being a bit wild and adventurous. They built their own self-sufficient home in the forest. Being outdoors and exploring was always fun. It reminded George of his childhood with Dick, Julian, Anne, and Timmy. The famous five. Oh, how they were always outdoors and always loved to explore and find adventures. Well Anne maybe not as much as the others, but really deep down Anne would have hated to be left out of anything as much as she always complained

Those days were of course gone, but the memory of them would live on. Now there was a new kind of magic for George with Jake and three young boys, life was different but still happy and great. George was very happy and Julian, Chloe, Anne, Quentin, and Fanny would visit often or they would go to Australia for a holiday and see the others. Eventually Julian and Chloe decided they liked Australia so much they moved there too but George, Jake, and the boys stayed in the forest in England, climbing trees and building dens forevermore

One night George was sleeping and dreaming, he was right back in his childhood again and Timmy was there and Dick, Anne, and Julian were all there as children again. They were in the woods playing in the sunshine and climbing trees and building dens. Timmy was running and finding sticks for them, tail wagging. They were happy and carefree.

They took a boat out on the water, the five of them, and let it drift around lazily in the sunshine

''You know that Timmy and I have been away for so long now'' Dick said to the others ''But someday we'll all be together again I promise you''

And Timmy barked and thumped his tail on the floor of the boat and ran to George and licked his face

And there was a boy standing on the shore waiting, the sun bright on his handsome face. It was Liam and he smiled at George

''I am happy for you'' he told him ''That you found Jake and that you have three sons together. I wanted you to be happy. I still love you always''

''And I still love you too. I love Jake but I love you too Liam, always''

And then they were gone again, as quickly as they had appeared they were gone. George woke up sleeping next to Jake. He snuggled up to Jake. He knew the others had visited him to let him know that one day they would all be together again.

FIVE HAVE A MYSTERY TO SOLVE

We'll leave them all there in the sunshine, quiet and peaceful.

Julian is lying back, looking at the April sky, glad that their adventure ended so well. Dick is looking down at Whispering Island, set in the brilliant blue harbour. Anne is half-asleep - quiet little Anne who can turn into a tiger if she has to!

And George, of course, is close to Timmy, her arm round his neck, very happy indeed. Goodbye, five - it was fun sharing in your grand adventure!
