Chapter 10

The One with the Formalities

"You got a tramp stamp?" I asked Kamryn, astonished at her uncharacteristic behavior.

Upon returning to Imperial College London, other than being slammed with homework and barely having time to breath, things have returned to a steady, new sort of normal. Now the middle November, nearing December, the guys and I had made up for the time was had lost and were now just as we were before, except now I had all the guys phone numbers under lock and key and Harry gave me my twitter password, the smart boy...

"Yes!" Ryni exclaimed, hanging her head. "It was a mistake, I'd never do it again! It was for a bet!"

"Are you stupid?"

"Yes, I am. And desperate for money sometimes, but it helped towards my mountain of student debt, alright! And... I got it removed the next week anyway."

"So you spent how much money to get the tattoo, before you ended up removing it?"

"The guy was friends with me," She rolled her eyes. "He did it for free."

"That or he wanted to check out himself some ass-"

"Bonjour, fellow French-speaking friends!" Layla greeted, barging into my dorm room. So far, her and Ryni had managed to become friends.

"Bonjour, Layla," Ryni greets, pulling her hair back into a ponytail while studying her textbook closely. My phone chimed off my ringtone for Liam. You know your special when A, you have a special ringtone on my phone, and B, I share chocolate with you. Evi, Layla, Ryni and my mom all have special ringtones, and Liam does now, as well. None of them have achieved chocolate-sharing status, however. Which annoys them. Because my love for chocolate is infamous.

"'Ello, Liam," I greet, Ryni shooting Layla a confused glance.

Okay, so... Ryni doesn't quite know about the whole 'I'm best friends with One Direction' thing yet...

"Liam?" She sang. "Does Kaessandra Rafaela have a boyfriend?"

"No. Liam's from-" I sh-d Layla.

"Hey, Kaess," Liam said. "So, do you think you could meet me at Starbucks in like, ten? I have something to ask you." I looked at Layla and Ryni.

"Do you two think you can hold down the fort?" I asked them, going to my navy TOMS. They looked at each other before nodding in unison. "For some reason, I don't trust that at all, but..." I put the phone back up to my ear. "Sure. See you in ten?"

"Yes. Thanks Kaess, bye."

"Bye." I grabbed my red belt to put around my white skinny jeans, while putting on an ivy green jacket over my yellow-and-white striped shirt, putting on my favorite beret and grabbing my cross-body Vera Bradley.

"Have fun with Liam," Layla sang.

"Who's this Liam character?" Ryn demanded.

"Lay, fill her in, I'm going to be late for a very important date."

"Date-"

"Shut up, Layla." I slammed my dorm door, rushing out, but saw a very familiar person at the mailbox...

Eleanor.

"Hey, Eleanor!" I greeted. She shot her head up and grinned.

"Kaessie! I haven't seen you in forever, yet I've heard so much about you!" She pulled me into a hug I returned. "I'm so glad you got close to the guys, they're all great. I heard you took a liking to Mr. Payne in particular..." She winked at me, and I lightly smacked her.
