Kaori POV

Class is boring I don't like it but at least this gives me enough time to daydream about things

"Hey Kaori come on we have to work on this assignment"
"What"
I heard a voice and I turned around to see that it was my friend Hiroto
"Kaori come on let's go working on the assignment"
"What assignment"
"You weren't paying attention again were you"
"Nope"
"May the gods help us"

I've known Hiroto for about all my life he's known about my big crush on Tuskishima since we were in middle school

He's always been there for me he's a good friend even though sometimes he can be blunt he acts like Prince charming at times and he's also really pretty I see why girls like him and throw themselves on him

"Ok do you understand it now"
"Yeah pretty much so"
"Ok good then can you help me out with it this is a group assignment after all"
"Yeah yeah just calm down"

After a while of being in class doing work after work and being tired as fuck finally lunch arrived I wanted to go eat lunch with Tuskishima but he was probably eating lunch with Yamaguchi and I didn't want to be a bother he just got released from the hospital after all

"Hiroto let's have lunch together"
"Ok"

I grabbed a nearby chair and sat close next to him his lunchbox looked good as always I wish he would make me one but he never does that's OK though

"So how is your relationship with tuskishima going"
"pretty good we're going to go on a date after school today so I'm kind of excited for that"
"Really must be nice"

His face looked sad I think that he's a little jealous that I have a relationship if I'm being honest he hasn't had any romantic feelings for anybody for as long as I can remember
He's never told me about a girl or a guy he's been crushing on but I know he's crushing on somebody after all his eyes look like they're sparkling like his world is pretty colorful in a way

"Come on cheer up I swear you're so hopeless"
"How"
"Well I don't know how to say it but you're like that hopeless kid brother"
"I see so I'm nothing more than a child to you"
"No that's not what I meant"
"I know just kind of wanted to mess with you"

I grabbed a chunk of his hair and started pulling it
"Ow what the hell"
" that's a punishment"
"Ok remind me to never mess with you or else you're going to go and throw hands"

"Yup remember that one time those girls in our class were making fun of you and I decided to push them off the swings"
"Oh yeah they were pretty mean"
"Yup I mean how could they just make fun of my best friend like that"

" and then I'm pretty sure after that at recess they told the teacher on you and you went to go run and try to stop them but you fell and your ankle swelled up until it almost looks like a basketball"
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that"^^

The day went on like that talking about dumb things together making jokes and reminiscing about old things Hiroto decided to walk with his friends as I went to wait at the gates for Tuskishima he didn't have afternoon volleyball practice today

"Hey you"
"Tuskishima there you are"
"So where are we going"
"Well since I asked you everything will be my treat how about we go to a coffee shop that me and my friend frequent quite often"
"Ok let's go"

The day is finally over I think it went OK it could've gone better than it did Tuskishima was on his phone the whole time
I felt like I was the only one there

The day is almost over I start to finally think about this whole thing our whole relationship is he even happy with me he seems miserable I know he tries to pretend
but is he happy I mean he rejected me once who's to say he didn't just say yes so he could get rid of me he doesn't seem happy around me
whenever he's with that orange hair guy he seems happy like he's free
