Tuskishima POV
I asked my mother if I could go to the training camp she agreed it was a good thing that she did if not Yamaguchi would be a total mess without me he would be lost and lonely

The trip was set for Monday it's finally Friday I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited originally me joining the volleyball club was just so I can protect Yamaguchi since we were younger he was always getting bullied but now my love for it has changed I think I'm finally starting to like it just a little bit

As I'm walking home I'm admiring the beautiful sky
Yamaguchi had to stay after school to help the teacher it's a good thing we didn't have afternoon practice today I guess they want us to rest before we have to push ourselves in the training camp

The week full by so fast one minute it was Monday and now it's Friday and I have to start packing my bags
I see that one of the convenient stores is open and I'm feeling kind of hungry so I decided to go in to get some strawberry cake

Look at the prices of the strawberry cake and then I realize somebody is right behind me

Who could it be they can't just ask me to scoot over I was getting irritated I'll move so you don't have to stand directly behind me this is uncomfortable
I turned around to face a small orange-haired boy
"Hinata what are you doing here"
"oh hey tuskishima I thought it would be you what are you buying"
"Cake"
" oh nice can you Buy some cake for me too"
"No"
" come on why please"
" fine but you're gonna have to pay me back later"
"Ok"
Once I said OK he looks so happy like he achieved a mission or something I didn't see Kageyama around it was weird I thought they usually walk home together
"hey so where's your boyfriend"
"he's busy practicing even though suga and Daichi told us not to practice he still went to go practice too"
" how come you're not joining him I thought you would"
" I can't I feel too sore yesterday I practice too much"
Practice too much I didn't know such a thing existed to him he seems so full of energy I thought it would never run out what a weirdo those two are a perfect pair

As I bought the strawberry cake it looked like Hinata was eyeing something I wonder what it is
"Hey tuskishima can I get this chocolate milk please"
" really"
He looked at me with those puppy dog eyes I knew this was coming whenever he wants something whether it be from Suga Noya Kageyama or anybody else on the team we would all give in
I feel like he knows he's like the baby of the team you know
he can't even get away with murder and nobody would even fucking care

" fine but just remember you're treating me next time"
" awesome you're the literal best"
I bought the chocolate milk and I bought the two strawberry cake slices As we were walking home The stupid shrimp I had an idea

" hey let's eat the pieces of cake in the park why don't we"
" come on it's really hot do we have to"
" yes please please please"
He was acting like an impatient five-year-old as per usual it took some convincing but I eventually gave in I can't believe it I let him get away with it this time again

As we walked to the park to eat the cake the flowers were blooming late it's already June 5th you think all the flowers Be in bloom by now
As we sat down on the park bench underneath a tree the leaves provided shade from the blazing sun as I look over to Hinata I see that he's staring at the clouds the quiet was so peaceful I didn't talk in fear of breaking the silence I looked at the clouds and I saw they didn't even look real like they were panted in the sky the whole park this scene felt like something one would pant

Hinata POV

I normally hate the silence but this was nice I felt like saying don't touch me but stay near me
Saying that I don't want to but I'm starting to enjoy tuskishima's company all we did was eat in silence something I usually dread but it was OK the silence wasn't cold anymore
no more like the warmth, you would get from the fireplace as we finished our food and headed home my phone rang breaking the soothing silence
"Hello"
"Hey it's me"
"Oh hey Kageyama"
" so you know the café you wanted to go to earlier well how about we go now I have the time"
"I can't I ate cake right now but I love too how about tomorrow"
"Sure but why did you eat cake did your mom bring some home"
"Oh no tuskishima bought some for me"
And just like that his voice shifted from happy to somewhat envious almost like he was angry
" I see ok that's fine I have to go"
"Hey your not mad right"
"No"
