THIRD PERSON.

THE FIVE BOYS WERE CURRENTLY IN THE STUDIO producing a song for their album. They had been there since early hours of that morning and by late afternoon, the four had caught on to the way Corbyn was acting.

He was much more slouched in his seat, moving slower than usual and hadn't said much for the past four hours, only staring at his laptop screen in hopes a piece of inspiration would come to him.

And every half hour, he'd tap his phone to turn it on and show the notification screen, sighing once he'd notice it was still the same the previous time he looked and turn back to his laptop.

"You good?" Daniel asked, folding his arms as he turned around in his chair to face Corbyn, receiving no reply from him, "Corbyn?"

"What?" He looked up at Daniel, moving his hand away from his face as Daniel raised his eyebrows slightly.

"Are you okay?" Daniel frowned.

"I'm fine." Corbyn shrugged.

"You're a bit.. different." Zach mumbled.

"Is it because Ellie got fired?" Jack asked.

"No," he shook his head, "I don't even know why she got fired."

"That's a shame." Jonah folded his arms, "I'm sure she'll find somewhere else."

"Bummer, really liked her." Daniel sighed and turned around to hide his slight smile, "how's Kate?"

"Don't know." Corbyn mumbled, the four guys all nodding and looking to each other, shaking their heads before they all sat down.

"That's why you're upset." Jonah nodded.

"She won't talk to me." Corbyn admitted, "she hasn't since Tuesday."

"Do you know why?"

"I know why." He nodded and raised his eyebrows, "but I can't tell you all that."

"Why can't you tell us that?" Jack titled his head, "Did you upset her?"

"No.." he shook his head, "I think I confused and overwhelmed her."

"Oh," Jonah frowned, "oh also we found someone's journal here like last night.. I don't know if you-"

"Where did you put it?" Corbyn looked up at them.

"We just put it in one of the draws," Jonah shrugged, "why?"

"That's Kate's."

"A music journal?" Daniel paused, "..is Kate's?"

"Yeah," Corbyn nodded, "she left it here and I need to give it back to her."

"I didn't know she writes songs." Jack furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

"And produces them." Corbyn shrugged, "I didn't know either."

"Produces them too?" Daniel raised his eyebrows, "since when?"

"A couple years ago." He explained, "I haven't heard the produced songs but her lyrics are insane."

"Dude." Jonah stared at him and shook his head, "no way you didn't do anything with that."

"She didn't want me to do anything." He argued, "she's given up with it."

"But she showed you her journal?" Zach asked, "so maybe she's just lying to you because she'd rather you do something with your career in music."

"I think she likes you a lot." Jack told Corbyn as he immediately went quiet, "she seems to trust you with a lot of things."

"Kate just overshares." He argued.

"I don't think she does." Zach mumbled, "she keeps a lot of things to herself, like the shit with Isaac."

"She hasn't told anyone anything to do with-"

"I know about it all." Corbyn mentioned.

"See," Jack gestured towards the boy, "she must like him."

"She doesn't," he shook his head and frowned, glancing back down to his laptop while Daniel's mouth dropped open partly.

"You're upset she doesn't like you," Daniel mumbled as Corbyn sighed, "oh my god, you like her."

"Is that why she won't talk to you?" Jonah said, "did you tell her you like her?"

"And she freaked out." He slowly nodded, "yep.."

"Dude," Jack smiled and laughed slightly, "how long have you liked her for?"

"A month, I don't know." Corbyn folded his arms and shrugged, immediately turning his head towards his phone screen as it lit up.

"Is that Katelyn?" Zach asked, not receiving a response as they watched him throw on his jacket and quickly put away his belongings.

"Okay." Jonah frowned, "someone's in a hurry."

"Kate texted me." Corbyn told them, shutting his laptop off and walking towards the door, "Isaac showed up."

"Oh." Daniel replied as Corbyn rushed out of the studio.

With the door closing and the four guys staring at it, they all slowly turned towards each other and smiled slightly, individually folding them arms and nodding.

"Game changer." Jack said.

"So if they have feelings for each other," Zach began, "all we have to do is get them together."

"They did half of the work for us." Daniel laughed, "we need a date, like an actual date. A private location and everything."

"How did he not catch on that we got Ellie fired?" Jack asked.

"Because he doesn't care." Jonah looked at Jack, "but next step, getting them to go on a date."

"So.. they've kissed and slept together but never admitted their feelings?" Zach frowned, "that's weird."

"They were probably trying to deny their feelings," Daniel suggested, "just in denial."

"True." He sighed, "okay well let's hint date ideas."

"Yes, that's our plan." Jonah nodded, "and getting him to actually ask her on a date."

"That's a big one." Daniel said, "that's going to be a bit of a challenge I think."

"Nah, it'll be fine." Jack shook his head.
