Ignoring the Problem
A broken heart
A broken home
She relives memories
Triggering broken moans
She’ll stick up her chin
Maybe attempt to grin
She’ll hold back those tears
And bury her sins
Low self-esteem
No valiant core
She hates what remains
She wants to be more
She’ll take that step forward
She’ll move on ahead
Close her eyes to recollections
Look to the front instead
Ignore the problem
Push away the pain
She seems to forget
It will come back again
She’ll forever run
Blistered feet growing numb
Being chased by her fears
When it’s her head she’s running from
