''Michael, moms on the phone'' Sam passed his brother the phone

Michael took the phone and held it to his ear while lying on the bed with glasses on ''Mhm''

''Hello Michael, would you do me a favour. Max asked me to dinner after work tonight, could you stay home with Sam? I would ask Rose but she has an exam tomorrow and I wouldn't want her to not get enough sleep'' Lucy asked through the phone

''Sam is old enough to stay by himself'' Michael replied in a raspy voice

''Hey I don't need a babysitter Mike'' Sam butted in

Michael rolled his eyes at him and paid his attention back to Lucy

''Look, Michael, you come home in the middle of the night, you sleep all day-'' Michael groaned listening to her ''Sam is always alone. It's been a long time since someone has asked me for dinner. I'd like to go, okay?''

Michael sighed ''Okay mom'' he said trying to sound cheery

''Thanks, honey'' Lucy replied ''Bye-bye''

Rose skipped into Max's store, wearing her short pencil denim skirt and flowery top with chuck Taylors ''Hey dad'' she smiled at him while going behind the counter

''Someones in a good mood'' he replied ''Does my hair look okay'' he asked worriedly

''That talk did me and Dwayne the world of good!'' she said brightly ''And yeah, I suppose why?''

''That didn't sound very truthful''

''I was, it looks great but I'm just confused. You never really care about your hair'' she said as she sat on the counter ''Hey El'' she greeted Eliot

''Hello Eliot'' Eliot nodded back at him ''and I'm taking Lucy out to dinner if you must know'' he turned back to her

''That's why you're wearing a suit'' Rose giggled and pointed at the suit

''Mhm. Get off the counter'' he told her

Rose ignored him ''I might see Mikey tonight then''

''What about your exams'' he gave her a warning look, knowing Eliot was listening

''It's cancelled till further notice. The printer has stopped working and the head of exams person is ill'' she winked back at him

Max sighed ''I don't see why not then. Anyways I have to go'' he kissed her head

''See you later dad'' she yelled back

''Bet he's still a virgin'' Eliot told her
