Chapter 13

The boys except David and Michael cheered as they went into the cave, Rose walking behind. Glaring at David as she sat on the fountain, patting a spot next to her to Michael. He sat next to her and looked at her with concern written on his face. Rose gave him a look of reassurance.

She looked away as David was explaining the history of the cave. She rolled her eyes. Not because she was bored, it was just to annoy David. As always, it worked. He gave her a look as if to say 'I'll deal with you later' and looked towards Michael

''Marko, food'' he said. Marko nodded and left the cave to get food.

''So, how did you two meet'' David said with his annoying smirk

Rose bit her tongue and clenched her fists together as hard as she could. Paul noticed and put his hand on top of hers reassuringly, she pulled her hand away and glared at him then turned to David ''At the boardwalk'' she replied

''You know what happens when you act like this'' he warned

Michael looked at her confused as Paul and Dwayne glanced at her. She sighed and smiled slightly ''And you know what would happen if you do it again'' she replied

David's reaction was unreadable. Before he could reply, Marko came back with a food box in his hands ''Feedin' time, come and get it, boys''

He handed a box to David ''Chinese, good choice'' David said as Marko gave Michael a box then threw one to Dwayne

''Over here bud'' Paul said as Marko threw him a box

He handed Rose a box and ruffled her hair. She slapped his hand away. He shook his head slightly and stood next to David, opening his box

''How's those maggots'' David asked Michael casually. Michael gave him a look of confusion

'David, don't you fucking dare' Rose thought to him

David looked at her and smirked then back to David ''Your eating Maggots Michael, your eating maggots how do they taste?''

Michael looked down at his box, he dropped it and spat the rice he had in his mouth. The boys laughed hard as he wiped his mouth with his arm and glanced at Rose

''Grow up David'' she scooted closer to Michael

''Your right'' he smiled ''Sorry, Michael. How about some noodles'' he leant over and shown him the box. Michael shut his eyes for a moment ''There worms''

David took them back amusingly and played with the noodles with his chopstick ''What do you mean their worms''

The boys laughed louder and mimicked Michael ''Their worms Ooo'' Paul laughed

''That's enough'' Rose turned to Paul

''Sorry girl'' he replied as he ate the rest of his rice

Rose turned to David. He was whispering something to Marko. Rose shook her head at him. He nodded and smirked

'David, please. Stop' she thought to him

'Too late sweetheart'

'You didn't want to become a vampire in the first place. So why are you doing this to someone else?'

David glared daggers through her 'Shut the fuck up' he thought

Rose was shocked. As much as he was an asshole, he has never spoken or thought to her in that way. She made him remember the memories he was trying to forget, and she knew that

Rose looked away from him as Marko came back, with a golden bottle with diamonds and gems decorated around it. He gave it to David. He opened it slowly and took a gulp. He closed his eyes for a moment and slowly swallowed.
