With the pegasi and brooms ready we took off towards Camp Half-blood, "yeah, yeah i'll give you some doughnuts when we get to camp" Percy said, who he was talking to i had no idea but he was Percy... so that explained a lot.

"stop calling me boss" he said seconds later

i flew up beside Annabeth, "who's he talking to?" i asked

"his pegasi" she said

"Blackjack!" Percy whinned

"what's the pegasi telling him?" i asked her homoured

"only he knows" she said "i can't speak horse"

"you were serious?"

"of course, you should see him when Arion's around"

"who's Arion?"

"Hazel's horse, he's literally the fastest horse in the world. and he cusses a lot after what i hear when they're conversing"

"i can only imagine that" i said and we flew in silence

as we neared the coast of America i heard the sound of birds, but it was nothing like normal birds. i turned my head to see something that looked like birds but they had beaks of bronze and metallic looking feathers

"Stymphalian birds" Annabeth yelled "there's about fifty kilometers to camp, if we can get there safely we don't need to worry they can't get inside camp ground, but if not we've got a serious problem, those birds are men-eating and their feathers are made to launch at their victims. i suggest we put our speed to max and give it a try" and with Annabeth suggesting that, we put the speed up.
