Grace and her friends walked past Simon's locker, laughing at something.

Ava giggled and nudged Grace towards him, causing her to lose balance and almost collide with his chest.

"Woah there Grace, don't go tripping in the hall like you do during basketball!"

She looked angrily at him and stomped towards her locker.

Simon berated himself internally; why did he have to say that idiotic comment?

He chased after her.

"Grace, I didn't mean it. You're great at basketball, and so athletic and beautiful and gorgeous and I love..."

Simon stopped himself.

Why was he such an idiot?

He hadn't meant to blurt out all his feelings and scare her off; had he screwed everything up?

She stared at him with those beautiful brown eyes, and he suddenly decided- Screw it, she's worth it.

He pressed his lips against hers, feeling as though he could fly and touch heaven.

But who would want to go to heaven, when nothing could be better than this?
