Lily felt a gentle tap on her shoulder from behind. She knew immediately that it was Sam, her longtime crush who she was ever-too-shy to talk to. Trying not to seem eager, Lily casually spun around to see what he wanted.
Blushing hard, he said,
"Sorry, never mind."
Dejected, she spun back around in her seat.
Almost.
Before she could face forward again, he decided he didn't care anymore, and uttered the three words he had wanted to tell her since day one.
