Junhyung and Gikwang were a duo aspiring to be idols one day. They wrote songs together and considered each other soulmates. When Gikwang gets a little fame for his gorgeous visuals, he leaves Junhyung, and even worse, bullies him.

The next day, you went to school. You waited for a bit to see if Junhyung would leave at the same time as you, but you didn't see him, and you didn't wanna pick him up, that might seem a little too cliché. You ended up walking alone while mumbling some lyrics to yourself... the lyrics that Junhyung showed you.
"If you want, I can give it all to you Because you're the girl of my dreams Don't go girl, I wanna know you Because you have everything I want"
You kept repeating those lyrics. "I wonder who he thought of while writing that... it was probably years ago." you thought while continueing to repeat some lyrics when you suddenly felt an arm grabbing you.
"What are you saying?!" Your eyes widened. It was Gikwang. "Nothing, i'm just-" "Did he show you those crappy lyrics we used to write? Laughable." "Well, he did, and i think they're beautiful." you smiled. "Thank you then, i guess. Since i was the only one doing the real work." "Real work?" "Yeah, i wrote basically everything." "Lies. Junhyung showed me the part he was supposed to sing." "Did you read all of the lyrics?" You looked down. "No, i stopped after the first verse after the chorus." "Oh, i gotcha then. We did the chorus together and the first 2 verses that you read were mine, but Junhyung helped." "But... then you didn't "write everything basically" right?" "Whatever. Everyone would still believe me if i told them i wrote everything. You're the only one that can't be fooled. I like that about you, keep going y/n." Gikwang said as he walked off.

You watched Gikwang walk off. "How can he look so good but be so mean? I know i'm basically in love with Junhyung but when Gikwang says stuff like this it makes my heart flutter aswell... ugh i don't wanna fall into old habits again. Why can't they just sort it out so the three of us can marry?" You laughed out loud at that thought.
"What's so funny today?" you heard a voice behind you, and this time it's Junhyung! "I just thought about... well never mind." you snorted. "No~ tell me!!! Please~"

Junhyung did aegyo right. in. front. of. you?! You couldn't help but instantly scream... "JUNNIE! YOU'RE SO CUTE!" while squeezing his cheeks. Gikwang jumped and looked behind him. "What are these two up to now." he thought. The realization that you were holding Junhyungs face and playing around with it like he's a baby just hit you and you quickly let go of him. "Oh- i'm sorry- my brain malfunctioned for a second." you tried to laugh yourself out of it but Junhyung already reached out to squeeze your cheeks now while he mockingly babies you. "Junhyung-ahhhh stoooopppppp" you said while laughing. Once he was done squishing you you guys started walking again. After a while, Junhyung stopped walking.
"Hey, y/n. Remember when our parents thought it was a great idea to make music together? Well... we can write a new song maybe? Together? Like a duo?" Your eyes lit up. "Uh- yeah- duh! I've always wanted to write and compose a song, and now that i've seen how talented you are-" "Majority of the lyrics you read were by Gikwang but okay-" Junhyung said. "I don't care. You have the spirit in you, you can do this." Meanwhile, you guys arrived at school. "You can do this too! Let's meet up after school and start writing." "Sure... i don't know if i'm good at it though." you were hesitant. "We'll do this together, y/n. It's gonna be fine like you said!" You nodded and walked into school. You arrived at your classroom with a bigger smile than usual, which Gikwang noticed. He looked around the class to see if all eyes were on him and then he spoke to you.
"Awwwww, y/n!! Did Junhyung make you smile like that? How cute~" he said, obviously sarcastic.
No one laughed.
"Are you still gonna continue bashing Junhyung after everyone knows the truth about you? How low can you go, little attentionseeker." a classmate spoke up.
"Ohhh... of course. I forgot Gikwang got exposed. I mean, props to him for even coming to school, i would've never showed myself again." you thought Gikwang looked around the class only to receive death glares back. You could see this really hurt him, and even though class hasn't started yet, Gikwang already packed his bags and left the classroom again. You hesitated, but decided to chase him.
"Gikwang!!!! Wait! Why are you leaving?"

Gikwang turned to you and you saw tears forming in his eyes which he tried so suppress. "Isn't that obvious? My image is ruined. I could never be an idol or chase my dreams because that stupid voice memo would haunt me forever." "Gikwang... you must realize all of this isn't Junhyungs complete fault. If you never bullied him the voice memo wouldn't even happen, and you guys' precious friendship would still be thriving and you would both have an amazing image. Please just sort it out..." He sighed. "How do you even know how great our bond was?" You chuckled a little. "He showed old pictures and such." Gikwang however, couldn't laugh about it. "I hate him more than everything." You tried to calm him down. "I'm sure, deep down you guys miss each other." Gikwang completely broke down in tears now.
"Maybe i do."
You couldn't help but feel bad for him and hugged him without any hesitation. Surprisingly, he hugged back. "I hate him... but i miss our old times. It will never be the same again." you felt him sobbing into your shoulder. When Gikwang lifted up his head he saw a confused Junhyung standing behind you guys. Gikwang let out a sneaky smile while still crying, just to scare Junhyung off so he walked away. Gikwang let go of you.
"Y/n, please tell mrs. Kwon i'm sick today. I'm going home... I don't wanna be here." You smiled at Gikwang. "Well, i'm proud that you even came. I wouldn't have showed up if i was exposed like that." He let out an awkward smile and walked off. Junhyung appearantly came back, because he was in front of you staring at you. Just not close enough to have captured Gikwangs tears. He let out a final glance at you before he eventually walked away again too. His silence spoke volumes. "Junnie it's really not what you think-" "Save it y/n, save it."
