19- Daddy's home

Lili POV

I woke up to a text from Nico.

Nico: Finished here, getting a flight. I can't wait to see you x

I sit bolt upright in my bed. I got the message at 3am. How long is a flight from New York? I quickly open Google.

Argh why are there so many different flights?!

The suspense is killing me. I run to the door at every noise. Collecting the mail, grocery delivery and Amazon package.

"Dinner will be around an hour if you wanted to settle in a bit first, we'll go cheer up Papa, won't we?" She finishes turning her attention back to Ella.

Suddenly I'm alone with Nico for the first time since our phone call, and I don't really know where to look.

"Umm, rooms are this way…" I tell Nico heading towards the stairs we walk up two flights in silence to where the guest rooms are located. "This one is Leo's, Ma's staying on the other floor" I explain, gesturing the doors.

"And yours?"

I point out my door at the opposite end of the hall to Leo's. My heart starts pounding in my chest as Nico walks right towards my room. But at the last second turns taking the room across from mine.

"Hey, umm Lil?" Nico calls sounding confused. Crap did I send them to like the roof access? I swear I'm so dense. I follow Nico's voice finding a sage green guest room.
