Chapter 35

nick: you're what?

y/n: i'm pregnant. with your kid

nick stared at me for a solid 5 minutes, not saying a word. just when i was about to say something, he yanked me toward him and hugged me tightly. i smiled and wrapped my arms around him while we sat there. the hug lasted what seemed like an hour but was actually just 2 minutes. he pulled away and pressed a kiss to my forehead

nick: we're gonna have a kid

y/n: yeah we are

nick hugged me again and i hugged back laughing

the next 2 hours was nick being super protective, and don't get me wrong it was really nice and sweet but i did eventually need to get up and talk to people

y/n: hey nick

nick: yes princess?

i blushed. honestly it doesn't even matter how long we've been dating i still blush when he uses nicknames for me

y/n: do you think we should tell everyone yet?

nick: maybe we can wait until we get the picture thing

y/n: ....do you mean a sonogram?

nick: yeah that!

y/n: i have to book an appointment first, but sure

nick: great

y/n: buttttt avani knows, so i should probably tell her to keep quiet

nick: what- how does she know? didn't you just find out?

y/n: nick what do you think she was doing here?

nick: i don't know. girl stuff?

y/n: oh nick, i love you, but you're an idiot

nick: your idiot

he smirked at me and i rolled my eyes. then he attacked me with a kiss and i squealed as i fell back on the bed. we laughed and he kissed me again, this time i kissed back properly, with a smile still on my face. i moved my hands to the back of his neck and pulled away

nick: what?

y/n: i love you

nick: i love you y/n. you have no idea how much

i smiled and gently kissed him again. when we pulled away and i took a second to really look at him, i realized that i'm actually going to have to push a human child out of me. there's a mini me or mini nick inside me and in nine months i'm gonna have to push it out. holy shit

and of course, in the middle of my panic, i was also meant to be leaving for home tomorrow. i gasped dramatically (of course) and scrambled away from nick and off the bed.

nick: y/n? are you okay? what happened?

y/n: we have to leave for Australia TOMORROW and i havent packed a single thing!!

nick: oh shit that's tomorrow?

y/n: YES NOW GET OFF YOUR ASS AND START PACKING. i, am going to very calmly tell chase if he's coming to see claire he needs to pack as well. when i get back, if i see you doing anything other than packing, i will tackle you to the ground

nick: i uh.. yeah okay you go tell chase ill pack

y/n: good. ill be back soon

i smiled at nick who was basically shaking in his skin, and walked out of our room to find chase. of course i found him asleep at 5 in the afternoon. i walked into his room and shook him relentlessly until he woke up. the man is a heavy sleeper let me tell you.

chase: wha-

y/n: CHASE

chase: hello?

y/n: are you coming home with me and nick tomorrow or not?

chase: home?

y/n: my home, Australia

chase: shit that's tomorrow?

y/n: yes that's tomorrow. are you coming or not?

chase: yeah i bought a ticket like last month

y/n: then what the fuck are you doing sleeping at 5 in the afternoon when you should be packing?

chase: i was up all night talking to claire, i must have passed out

y/n: okay as cute as that is, i need you to get up and pack right now

chase: okay okay im packing

y/n: good. also i'm really excited for you and claire to be reunited. dont do anything too cute when you see her otherwise i might actually pass out

chase: no promises

y/n: ugh, you dick

chase: you love me

y/n: shut up and pack simp

before he could respond i ran out of his room and back up to me and nicks. when i got there nick was being a good boyfriend and was actually packing like i told him too. i smiled and gave him a kiss before packing my own stuff, leaving out some essentials.

i love christmas with my family. its literally the best. i looked over at nick who just put a pair of sweats in his suitcase, even though they were very unnecessary for an australian christmas, and i smiled again. this time next year, our kid will be here, and it'll be their first christmas. needless to say, i'm a little excited

we stayed up and packed until i was sure we had everything we needed. everyone decided it would be a good idea to have a movie night, so we ordered food and watched the avengers movies because unlike many people in the house, i have good taste in movies. after age of ultron pretty much everyone was asleep, which sucked since i was so ready for infinity war, so me and nick went up to our room.

i managed to set an alarm for 9am before i passed out. it was way too loud and i almost broke my phone trying to turn it off. i woke up nick who was not happy about having to go to the airport, and rolled out of bed to brush my teeth, change and pack the last few things i needed

when i was done and nick was back asleep, i trudged to chase's room to see if he was ready to go. but when i walked in there, he was very much awake, and very much talking to claire. since i'm such a good friend and roommate, i crashed the call and after a minute i dragged chase off the bed and told him to finish packing
