i chucked a pillow at claire and rolled my eyes. even though they're lunatics, they're my best friends and i love them. im glad we all got to graduate together. today was one of the best days of my life. i know i'll never forget it

* the next morning*
i woke up the next morning to 2 hungover lunatics jumping all over me

cl: come on!!!! we are going to do something fun today! our first day as REAL adults. damn i feel so old

j: well... too late to go back to sleep now. you're wide awake
y/n: yeah no thanks to you guys
cl: quote your whining and get ready. we have apartments to look at!!
y/n: wait what!? i thought we didn't have enough money yet
j: well my parents chipped in and same as you claire. then i went to the bank and asked for a loan. and well... they gave it to me!!
y/n: no fucking way!! what are doing standing here let's go buy an apartment!!

y/n: wow that apartment was perfect
cl: yeah i know right. and it's so cheap
y/n: so do you wanna get it?
j: what? i thought you said you wanted to look for a couple weeks. not hours
y/n: well i changed my mind. what other apartment is gonna be better? I MEAN that place is perfectttt for us. it's got heaps of space, there's a bedroom and bathroom for each of us, there's a guest room and bathroom and the living room is huge. and if we get it we can move in next week!
cl: i don't know about you jess, but insatiable let's do it
j: you don't have to ask me twice! let's go
we ran back to the place as fast as we could and brushed off and caught our breath before we walked to make an offer. the lady said she's email us in 2-3 days if we got it.

it's been 3 days and me and the girls are sitting in my living room waiting for the email.
cl: we didn't get it. I CANT BELIEVE WE DIDNT GET IT
y/n: claire calm down. we don't know yet
j: yeah. y/n refresh the page maybe we missed it
i clicked refresh and there it was. the email. i clicked on it and read it as fast as i could. i covered my face and started crying. and laughing at the same time. we got it. we got the apartment
j: AHH WE GOT IT!!!
cl: i knew we would get it!! i never doubted it for a second
we all laughed and screamed and jumped and cried. we were so excited.
m: GIRLS ARE YOU OK
my mum and dad ran into the room worried because they thought someone had been shot
y/n: WE GOT THE APARTMENT MUM
m: oh my gosh that's so good girls!!

i grabbed jess and claire by the wrists and pulled them up to my room so we could start packing

we spent the whole day going back and forth from each other's houses and packing and dropping off stuff at the new apartment. i made a couple of tiktoks and posted them. me and the girls had some food and stuff in the kitchen, you chose our bedrooms but we haven't gotten beds yet (duh)
we all sat on a giant beanbag claire has. we decided to stay the night because it was already late and i couldn't be bothered driving. we all talked about how we were gonna decorate until we all passed out on some blankets on the floor

i woke up in our new apartment and smiled. i went to the kitchen and got some cereal but put it back. i ran up to the girls and started jumping on them.

y/n: revenge sweetheart.
cl: but whyyyy
y/n: stop whining and get up. we're moving more stuff in here today. and i woke you up because you deserve it 😉
i walked away and sat on the kitchen bench and took out my phone

i looked down at my phone and smiled. i couldn't believe it. im just a 18 year old girl from a small town in Australia. now im famous? wow. life is so crazy
