I didn't even bother trying to sleep after the evening's event. The first thing I could think to do when I entered my bedroom was clean myself up.

I had left Dora's body on the dining room floor where her life had been stolen from her, unsure of what I was even supposed to do with it. Hiding dead bodies wasn't exactly something that I excelled in. The best solution would be for Dandy to clean up, seeing as he created the mess in the first place, but Dandy never sorted his own problems. The only other option was to wait for Gloria to discover what had happened and follow her instructions from there. Dora had told me that Gloria was the one that hid the bodies of the innocent animals Dandy killed, so she clearly had some experience.

The thought of Dora made my heart ache as I washed her scarlet blood off of my hands into the bathroom sink. She had been the closest thing to a mother figure I had since losing Elsa and now she was gone forever. Dora was the only person I was living with that had any sanity left in her. I could never talk to Gloria the way I talked to Dora.

The sight of Dora's blood pouring out on to the wooden floor still flashed through my memories as I shakily headed over to the bath tub and turned on the metal taps.

After filling the large tub I delicately stuck my toe in the water, checking the temperature. It was perfectly heated, so I slipped into the depths of the water. I finally began to calm myself as the water rippled around me, covering me up to my neck. I softly ran my hands through my hair, cleansing it of the dirt from that awful trailer and the filth of the woods.

Eventually, the water began to turn cold and I decided it was finally time to get out. I wrapped a towel around myself and carefully brushed out my hair.

Exiting the bathroom, I headed over to my bedroom window. I soaked up the shimmering moonlight as it cast down onto my heavily exposed skin. For a moment I was able to trick myself into thinking that everything was perfect. I was in a world of my own. Dandy and Gloria were of no relation to me, I was just enjoying the peace of the quiet evening.

I sighed as the incredible moment quickly passed. Attempting to sleep was pointless, so I picked up a book from my bedside table. Dandy had allowed me to borrow some books from his playroom and I had decided to delve into as many as possible. My hand gravitated towards 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. Dandy wasn't much of a fan of the novel, as he claimed that it wasn't dramatic enough for him.

After getting dressed, I hopped into bed and delved straight into the book. I soon become completely engrossed in the plot, flipping through the pages at a quick pace. Eventually I felt my eyes slowly begin to droop and soon my vision had darkened to pitch black.

I awoke to the sound of a piercing scream. I immediately recognised the sound to belong to Gloria. The book that had previously been resting on my arm fell to the floor as I jumped up with a start.

I leaped out of bed and quickly tied my silk robe around my waist. There wasn't much time to spare, so I brushed out my hair and rushed out the room.

I was greeted with the sight of Gloria standing over Dora's body, a look of horror and disgust on her face. Dandy was standing a few metres away, with a fake expression of shock.

"Someone's broken into our home and murdered Dora!" He exclaimed.

How could he lie like that? He wasn't even showing the slightest bit of remorse for what he'd done. He really thought that he could just lie his way out of this, despite committing the crime right in front of my face.
