Y/N POV

You're sitting in the hotel bar with Nick while waiting to get your phone. Your mind is pre-occupied with all the things that you need to do once the nominations are announced tomorrow. Eric gave you a rundown of what you'll expect and it's a lot.

"You okay, bro?" Nick asks, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Yeah man. Just... not looking forward to having the conversation with Lisa. I just told her i'd take on less work to be here and then suddenly, all this." you sigh and let your head fall back on the chair.

"She'll understand. She knows how important this is for you. Besides, you'll be back after the show." he tells you hoping it'll make you feel better.

"Yeah... I hope so." you mutter.

"Don't sweat it man. I'm sure it'll be fine."

You look up at him and he nods at you before looking at his phone. You just shake your head at him. This guy just doesn't understand. Nick has never had a serious relationship so you've never been able to talk to him about this stuff, or anyone actually.

Amani isn't any better. She's been single since before med school and haven't gone more than one date with someone since then. She'd rather focus on her work than date, she says. You need more friends in relationships.

"Y/N-ssi?" you suddenly hear someone call out.

You look up and see Soo-bin walking up to you.  You get up as she gets to you.

"Hi, Soo-bin-ah! I told you already you can drop the honorifics." you smile as you shake your head a little.

"I know, but it feels weird to me if I don't call you Y/N-ssi." she smiles.

"Why? I though we agreed to be friends?" you chuckle.

"I'm such a fan of you that it feels weird." she says timidly.

"Ah well you'll get used to me." you say laughing.

"Oh!" Soo-bin started rummaging through her purse and pulls out your phone, handing it to you. "Here's your phone back. I hope you didn't miss anything important."

You take a look through your phone and see that only Nick called since last night. You do see a couple of messages from the girls.

"It's okay, only he called. He's not important." you point to Nick and chuckle.

Nick notices you point at him and stands up and bows slightly at Soo-bin.

"This is my friend and manager, Nick." you tell Soo-bin.

"Nick, this is Soo-bin. She's an actor here in Korea." you tell Nick.

"Hi. Nice to meet you. You must be the one that answered his phone." Nick says as he reaches his hand out to her.

"Uh Hi..." Soo-bin said then narrowed her eyes a little bit then looked at you.

She looks as if she was asking for help. She most likely didn't understand what Nick had said to her.

"He said you must be the one he talked to when we called my phone." you translate for her.

"Ahh, yes." She turns back to Nick and nods at him. "Sorry... my English... not good."

Soo-bin crosses her arms in an X as she spoke with a heavy accent.

"Ah it's okay. No worries. My Korean is very limited to just a few words. So you don't have to apologize. I haven't had the time to learn it like Y/N here. He learned it so quickly! I doubt I could do that." Nick says and laughs.
