i feel the same as you do

Louis listened intently as the soft strum of a guitar echoed off of Harry's phone. Harry hadn't looked back up from his phone yet. Louis noticed that he looked almost nervous as he was fumbling with the edge of his phone case. As the lyrics started, Louis grabbed hold of Harry's hand and laced their fingers together again to reassure him.

'meet me in the hallway
meet me in the hallway
i just left your bedroom
give me some morphine
is there anymore to do?'

Louis of course knew what this song was referring to. It sometimes seemed as though every important moment they ever had took place in either the hallway or the kitchen...

'just let me know i'll be at the door
at the door
hoping you'll come around
just let me know i'll be on the floor
on the floor
maybe we'll work it out
i gotta get better, gotta get better
i gotta get better, gotta get better
i gotta get better, gotta get better
and maybe we'll work it out'

Okay. Now this was going to be rough. Louis had started to feel his eyes get that fuzzy feeling when tears are threatening to well up in them. He pulled their interlocking hands up to his mouth and placed a long and gentle kiss onto the back of Harry's hand at the sound of Harry's voice singing 'i gotta get better.' The meaning of these words to Louis was that he had been addicted to Harry. Addicted to every single thing about him. And when he was gone all of a sudden, he had to go through some serious withdrawal. He would stand for hours in the places he and Harry used to speak. He would lay on the floor in the kitchen for hours at a time just reliving each moment. He needed to get better, but he couldn't.

'i walked the streets all day
running with the thieves
cause you left me in the hallway
give me some more
just take the pain away
just let me know i'll be at the door
at the door
hoping you'll come around
just let me know i'll be on the floor
on the floor
and maybe we'll work it out
i gotta get better, gotta get better
i gotta get better, gotta get better
i gotta get better, gotta get better
and maybe we'll work it out
we don't talk about it
it's something we don't do
cause once you go without it
nothing else will do.'

The song finished and Louis had a couple tears trailing down his cheeks. 'just take the pain away.'
Louis couldn't get these words out of his mind. He knew the feeling. Loving someone so deeply with your entire being to the point where when they leave, everything hurts. Your eyes, your mind, your body, your feelings, your soul, your voice. Everything was pain for a while after everything happened.

Louis turned over and fell into a hug on top of Harry who instantly wrapped his arms up around Louis' back. Louis nuzzled his face down into Harry's neck and he placed a kiss there before pulling himself up again and looking Harry in the eyes and whispering,

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."

"Don't be sorry Lou. You're here with me now. That's all that matters."

Louis reached over for his phone and jokingly said,

"Well mines not nearly as depressing as that was Harold."

Harry laughed loudly. God Louis had missed that sound.

"Don't worry though, it gets depressing somewhere along the lines... we're just going in order so you'll have to wait." He smiled at Harry before opening a file on his phone that Harry saw was entitled 'Just Like You.'

"You're gonna laugh at this one love, it's really quite obvious if I'm being honest."

cigarette in my left hand
whole world in my right hand'
