Chapter 303: The Ten Elder Council

[Demon Continent, Nightless City]

After hearing that boldly claim from Aileene, all of the elders in the council couldn't believe what they heard as they begun to murmur at each other

Of course the one most affected of all was Layson, as he only knew was that Sirius was the king of Vampire's and if Aileene was now the current Queen, then Sirius condition would be either dead or retired

"No!" Shouted Layson

Hearing that Aileene slightly glanced at Layson before ignoring him, as for the ten elder council, they were surprised by the rejection of Layson

Struggling to stand up after the beat down from Aileene few minutes ago, Layson then gave his own piece of say

"That's impossible! She must be lying, I mean the current King of Vampire's is Sirius, my uncle... And now she's claiming that she's the new Queen? She must have done something... By what she displayed so far, I'm afraid that it won't be enough to kill uncle" argued Layson

At that point all the ten elder council was brought to a thinking as they begun to form questions in their mind

Seeing this Layson smiled as he only needed one more push for the council to question Aileene's claim

"Just think about it! I would've made a big impact in our society, if ever Sirius my uncle was killed and the ruler be changed, but how come there wasn't any commotion at all? Doesn't that mean she's lying?" Urged Layson

With that some council members begun to nod in agreement to Layson defense

Meanwhile as Layson did this, Aileene on the other hand quietly observed the situation as the atmosphere changed under the guidance of Layson

"Not bad... You look like your quite an influencer" praised Aileene

"You!... Shut your lying mouth, whatever you say might be words meant to deceive us" roared Layson as he felt elated as the council backed him

Hearing that Aileene shrugged

"Well... If you don't want that compliment then, your quite bad at influencing, are you even trying?"

With that slight twist of words, Layson begun to grow furious as Aileene actually used his words against him

"You..." Growled Layson

At this moment the council begun to question Aileene

"Layson here has a point! You a mere young one doesn't even have the capability of beating Sirius" said the 5th Elder

"He's right! From what we can feel from you, we believe that your still far from being able to defeat him" added by the 3rd Elder

"But we do admit that you have some battle experience as per shown when you showed your strength, but that isn't enough to defeat Sirius" said the 8th Elder

"Why do you even lie to us? Does this in anyway benefit you?" Asked by the 6th Elder

It's must be noted that Aileene is currently suppressing her power to 10% as her appearance was a child, so all in all in their eyes, Aileene was a newly vampire who was not even a slight stronger than a mere demon commander

Seeing this one sided argument, Layson couldn't help but snicker at Aileene who was way smaller than him, but as arrogant as an adult

"You naughty little child, did your parent ever taught you not to lie?" Asked Layson

As he asked that Aileene on the other hand answered plainly

"Oh! I'm sorry but my parents are dead"
