"Oh, God! His pulse is weak." thought Jezebel.
She called Daniel several times but he was unconscious. A crowd gathered around them. Jezebel was crying seeing his condition.
"Hey somebody call the ambulance. Fast." shouted a man.
"What happened to him?" asked a lady.
"I saw this boy crossing the road. Then suddenly a truck came from the wrong direction and hit him. Poor boy, he lost a lot of blood already." said a young man.
Just then Daniel's friends came there seeing the crowd and were shocked to see him. They called out his name constantly but there wasn't any hope.
"I have called the ambulance. It will come now." said a middle-aged woman.
"You are a doctor right? How is he? What happened?" asked one of Daniel's friends to Jezebel.
"His pulse is weak. But if we take him to the hospital as soon as possible we can save him," explained Jezebel.
Suddenly they all heard a siren and realized that the ambulance was arriving. Daniel's friends along with two or three men picked him up and placed him on the ambulance stretcher. The door was closed immediately after Daniel's friends got in along with him. The vehicle moved away and Jezebel ran towards her house.

"JEZ." screamed Beula when she saw her sister's dress full of blood.
"Beu I don't want breakfast. I am going to college now itself," said Jezebel.
"But what happened? Why your dress in this condition?"
"I am sorry Beu. I have no time to answer. I will clear your doubts later."
"But Jez---"
Jezebel rushed upstairs to her room and within minutes she came down changing her dress. Beula came towards her.
"What's the matter, Jez? Why you are in a hurry?"
"Beu please. Don't ask my anything now."
"But how will you go?"
"You don't have to worry. I will hire an auto-rickshaw. Bye."
Without waiting for any further queries from Beula, Jezebel took her bag and headed towards the main road.

"Hey, Jezebel. Why are you standing here?" asked Akshay, her collegemate.
"I came to know about the condition of the person inside," said Jezebel looking through the ICU door.
"He is still unconscious Jezebel. He has a rare blood group so he received blood now only. He should be kept under observation for the next 48 hours." said Akshay.
Tears welled up her eyes. The accident flashed in her mind that moment which caused her to shiver.
"Everything okay?" enquired Akshay.
"Yeah yeah. Can I see him?" asked Jezebel.
"No Jezebel. Even his friends weren't allowed inside."
"Did anyone inform his family?" asked Jezebel.
"Yes. They will arrive at any moment."
Akshay looked at his watch and glanced at Jezebel.
"I need to go now. I have other patients to look after. See you later."
