it's news, not advice.
too long have I been claiming to follow Jesus, yet following the world and it's advice.
Seeing Christianity as an 'ideal' or 'goal' to achieve. Realising I could never be like the Christians that I admire so much.
An endless treadmill of trying, failing and striving.
But Christianity is news, not advice.
It's not more burdens and goals, rather it's salvation. We need to do nothing.
We need to accept.
It's the Holy Spirit who produces the change I so desire. It's the Holy Spirit who shapes my hearts desires to be God, the never-ending spring, rather than the attractive, yet unsatisfying wells I seek to satisfy my thirst. It's Jesus.
He is my everything.
