Baby kicks

A/N this is pretty short but I really like it. Enjoy.

I sit on the couch watching Netflix while Joey washes dishes in the kitchen. Normally I would protest or help him in the kitchen but today I was feeling especially drained and Joey insisted that I relaxed. I lay on the couch with Diane leaning against my legs asleep, I watch the TV while also on my phone scrolling through social media, I stop at a post and start reading it then I feel it, it's so light I wonder if I just imagined it, I look down at my stomach and feel it again along with the little hit my stomach moves ever so slightly as a kick from inside hits, "Joey!" I yell out. "Yeah, what's wrong?" Joey asks running out of the kitchen slightly panicked, "come here, quick" I say, he does "feel this" I say taking his hand and placing it on my stomach lightly, "wait for it" I say, we wait a few minutes but nothing happens, "come on little bean, do it again for your dad" I say talking to my stomach, as if on command it happens again "there did you feel it" I ask and he nods "that is so cool" he says kissing me than kissing my stomach, in return my stomach moves again "I think it's trying to say something" I say laughing, "yeah like what?"

I think for a second, "why don't we go find out" I say with a cheeky grin, "I like that idea" Joey says dragging me off the couch and into the bedroom. "Shouldn't you go finish in the kitchen first" I say sadly, "I was basically finished anyway, it's all good" he says smiling and I smile back "good"

I wake up suddenly and feel the bed empty besides me, I start to remember what happened who knows how long ago and I hear Joey out in the kitchen, "come back to bed" I call out, "I'll be there in a sec, just finishing up out here" Joey calls back and I smile "be quick."

Joey comes back into the room a few minutes later and slides in next to me, I feel him slide one arm under me and his other rest on my stomach. I adjust my position slightly so I'm closer to him, we both turn slightly so we are face to face. "I love you" I say connecting our lips, we pull apart slightly not for long but enough time for Joey to say "I love you too."

A/N like I said fairly short but a quick fluff piece, the next update I'm aiming to upload in a week, also I'm going to start a oneshots book so look out for that.
