They let me have a week off from school. I don't know why. When i woke up I wasn't in the hospital but in my bed. I spent most of the week in my room. I never made an effort to get food but found that at exactly 8;00am, 1;00pm and 5;00pm, there was a breakfast, lunch and dinner outside my door. I don't know who puts it there, but they also take to dishes. Which is nice of them.

I swung my legs over the side of my bed and stood up. I walked towards my bedroom window and looked out into the street ahead of me.  I'm going back to school today. God it's going to be awkward. I know that somehow, everyone is gonna know what happened. Which makes it worse. I don't want pity, i don't need pity. I'm not sad. I mean i'm not exactly happy either but when i first saw... her, that's when i let it all out. I, quite literally, have no more tears to cry. I took my time getting ready this morning, waking up early has its perks. Not many but some. It was around 8;15 when i was ready to leave. I hadn't spoken to anyone since that night so i don't know if Julie has left or not. I opened my bedroom door and saw a brown bag instead of a plate of usually eggs. I picked it up and saw a note on it, i didn't recognise the handwriting. It said:

I know you're going back to school today so i put your breakfast in here to eat on your way.

I looked inside to see a banana, a small bottle of orange juice, a slice of toast and a small tub of Nutella. I smiled slightly at the sight and headed out my front door.

My mum still hasn't been home so i know it can't be from her. I wonder who it's from then.

I walked into school slightly late because i realised at the last minute i had left my phone on my night stand. I had Math first with Mrs. Allen, she was one of those teachers who marks work extremely strictly and basically questions their decision of becoming a teacher every day because they hate kids.

I burst through the classroom door, making all heads turn to me.

'Sorry i'm late Mrs. Allen.' I said slightly cautiously. God, first day back and i'm already gonna get a detention. Great.

An echo of gasps ring around the classroom. I guess it must be shocking. The girl who never spoke, speaks, who also just found out her missing sister died, looks perfectly fine.

'Oh, it's alright darling, go take a seat. I'll get some of your classmates to give you the work you missed.' I nod in response and let out a breath i didn't realise i was holding and start heading towards an empty seat at the back of the classroom. But i'm stopped before i can get there by Mrs. Allen.

'You tell me if you need anything, okay honey? Don't be afraid to ask.' I smile in thanks and speed walk to my seat. I keep my head down as i slip into my chair.

Oh god.

Pity.
