Forbidden Love

Chapter-8

Rose POV

It was really bad, the pain. The last thing I remember was a strigoi with a knife and now I guess I was in the school infirmary. I had bandages all over my body and plaster wrapped around my hand. 

"Oh, bloody hell. I look like a freaking mummy." I said, really annoyed by all the bandages on my body.

"Well don't you sound like yourself now?" I heard someone say that, and that voice. There was no need to look at the person, I knew who it was. It was the love of my life. 

"Hey, comrade." I said giving him a smile. And then I realized that there was someone else with him, it was Lissa I was so happy to see her safe.

"Lissa, are you okay?" I asked her.

"Oh god Rose, seriously? You are the one lying on a hospital bed, and you're worried about me." she said with an amused smile on her face.

"Hey, I'm always gonna be worried about you."

"Yeah, I know. And I love you for that." She said.

"Me too." Said Dimitri with a wide grin on his face.

I gave him a 'are you serious?' look. Lissa smiled after looking at me, even Dimitri did. I was confused. What the hell is going on here?

"Rose, I know." She said.

"Wait, what?" I was shocked. "How do you..."

"Dimitri here told me everything about your sweet little love story." Now I was clearly shocked. Then I looked at Dimitri.

"You did?" I asked him.

"Yes, Roza. Well, Lissa figured out everything on her own, I just added the details." He told me.

"Wow, this is good. I'm sorry Lissa I didn't tell you earlier."

"It's okay Rose."

"Well, now I'm gonna leave. I'll leave you two to talk." Dimitri said.

"Why?" I asked him. I didn't want him to leave.

"Roza you both need to talk now, about a lot of things." 

He gave me a kiss and then left me with Lissa. It was nice to be with my best friend and we finally had time to talk.

"So Rose, how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine Liss."

"Really?" she said that with a 'tell me the truth now' look.

"Okay, okay. I feel like I'm in hell. My whole body hurts, and I am covered in bandages. I even look like a freaking mummy RIGHT NOW." I shouted those last words and then I started crying.

Lissa hugged me tightly and stroked my hair. It felt nice, it was not Dimitri doing it but it felt amazing. Of course, a best friend's love is very different from a boyfriend yet they both are amazing in their own way. Then Lissa pulled back, I noticed there were tears in her eyes also.

"Rose, it's going to okay. Everything's going to be okay. And you know you still look good with those bandages." Then we both laughed at that.

"Rose there's something I want to do." I know what she was talking about, she wanted to heal me. As much as I wanted that I couldn't let Lissa hurt herself.

"No Liss, you know how bad that darkness can be."

"Rose, I can handle that, it's okay."

"No Lissa, you're not doing anything like that."

"Okay just let me heal the head injury, you have your exams in some weeks you need to study."

"Liss you really think I'm going to avoid anything that'll help me skip my studies." We both again started laughing.

"But I'll have to miss my combat training for a few days." I said that was something I never wanted to avoid.

"And your private classes with Dimitri." She said with an amused smile.

"Yeah, that too." Then we again started laughing like idiots.

"Well, do you love him, Rose? Because I'm sure as hell that he does." She asked me with a serious look.

"Yes, I love him Liss, more than I ever imagined." I said I didn't want to hide anything from her now.

"I'm sorry I never thought about your feelings. And now I'm just so happy for you." she looked like she was guilty of murder. I smiled.

"Liss I love you and it's okay, we both were very confused about everything. And we never showed it. Well then after the night in the cabin, we accepted our feelings for each other." I said with a shy smile.

"Night in the cabin? What? When did that happen?" she looked confused, excited, and amused at the same time.

"Wait, I thought Dimitri told you everything." Now I was confused.

"Nothing about the cabin. Well of course he thought you would tell me. It was the first time we talked not as a guardian and his charge but as friends, it was good."

"Or he was really shy to tell you that."

We both laughed again, after that, we talked about a lot of things, including school, Dimitri, Christian, Adrian who was still here and will meet me afterward, my upcoming trials, and a hell of a lot of stuff. Then someone came in to give us something to eat. After that Liss decided to sleep here with me, the bed was big enough for both of us. We both were lying on the bed talking for hours about stuff normal teenage besties do, well our life was definitely not normal but it was still nice. Being with lissa was amazing, I loved her so much and I knew that I would do anything for her. Then I was taken by a sweet sleep which I needed, and woke up after hours and noticed that Lissa was still sleeping. I smiled as I looked at her. She woke up after some minutes when someone knocked before coming in.

And then I saw my mother with a guy who was I think around the same age as my mom's and had his arm wrapped around my mother's waist. Lissa and I looked at each other and realized we both were equally confused by this scene.

"Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?" Mom asked, well first I was shocked because she called me sweetie, and second because I didn't know who this guy was.

"Hey, mom, I'm okay but who is he?" I asked her.

"This is Abe Mazur, and he is your father."
