Forbidden Love

Chapter- 4

Dimitri POV

I don't know what's happening, how can strigoi be here? They cannot enter the wards. I don't even know what's happening to me, I am scared, and It's not for me I am scared for my Roza. When I saw her fighting today, I was so proud of her. She is an amazing fighter and she is going to be an amazing guardian too. The sun is rising and either the strigoi's are gone or they're killed. Now I need to find her, I need to find my Roza. Last night I promised her that I will always protect her and I will.

I was trying to find Rose when I saw guardian Jean she was in a very bad condition. I went there to help her; it doesn't look like she is going to survive. But we have already lost a lot of guardians today; we cannot lose another one. I took her to Dr. Olendski so she can be treated. There I met Alberta.

"Guardian Belikov, are you alright?" Alberta asked me.

"Yeah," I replied. "Have you seen Novice Hathaway?" I asked her.

"No. I think she was with other novices." She replied

"No, she was protecting Princess Vasilisa, she was somewhere near the church. I have to go." And with that, I started running towards the church. When I reached there, I saw Princess Vasilisa, she was crying. I quickly went there and tried to talk to her.

"Princess, are you okay? What happened?" I asked her.

"I am okay guardian Belikov, but rose- "then she again started crying.

That made my heart stop. No is Rose okay? What happened to her?

"What rose, is she okay? Where is she, Princess?"

"Those strigoi's took her, she was protecting me. Then when the strigoi noticed that I was safe, he was very angry. He then decided to take her with them. He said they were going to torture her and they will feed on her, then they are gonna kill her." she said that we guilt in her eyes.

I couldn't believe her. No. nothing can happen to her, nothing can happen to my Roza. I could feel tears coming out of my eyes. I had to do something; I should protect her. She is not going to die.

"Nothing is going to happen to her, we will protect her lissa. Don't worry." Then I was going to the guardian building when the princess said something that was unbelievable.

"Dimitri, the bond is working both-ways now." I stopped where I was and turned around to look at her, how is this possible? If the bond is working both ways, we can help Rose. We can protect her.

"How is this possible?" I asked her.

"I don't know, it's just we can talk through the bond now." Even she looked surprised by that.

"Come with me, now." 

"Where?"

"To save Rose."

I don't know how am I going to do that, but I have to save her, I love her, and now lissa can talk to her through the bond, we can still save her. But how? Alberta, yes, I have to take lissa to her, she can do something.

Then lissa and I  went to Alberta's office to find her and she was there.

"We need your help, Alberta." I told her.

"What do you mean?"

"It's Rose, the strigoi took her." it was lissa who said that to her with tears in her eyes.

I tried my best to have my guardian mask on but it was not possible, not when the love of my life was going to die. Alberta was shocked.

"Wh-what do you mean? They took her?" I could see fear and confusion in her eyes.

"Yes, she was trying to protect me and there were fifteen of them and some were even ancient. They said they will torture her, and then kill her. You have to protect her. Please." Lissa was now crying, definitely, the thought of losing your best friend will make you cry.

"But how will we protect her? we don't even know where she is." Alberta was trying to be calm.

"WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. WE CANNOT LET HER DIE." I screamed because I cannot lose my Roza.

Lissa POV

I will never be able to forgive myself if anything happens to Rose. I was trying to think, we have to save her. And I don't even know what just happened I have never seen Dimitri screaming, it was weird. But right now, I should be focusing on Rose.

"I can talk to her, through the bond. I can ask her where she is." I spoke.

"What? How is that possible?" Alberta was confused. Because everyone knew that the bond was one-way not both.

I tried to explain to her the whole incident, from when I heard her the first time, then she protected me using the bond to talk to me and everything else. Alberta and Dimitri were looking at me like I was some weird creature dancing in front of them.

"I can talk to her now and then you guys can save her. Please I cannot let her die, she is my best friend. I cannot live with that guilt, that she died because of me." I was crying now.

"You have to try that; we should know where she is." Dimitri said.

"Okay."

I tried talking to her.

"Rose are you there? Are you okay?" I tried asking her through the bond. There was no response.

"There's no response." I told them.

"What do you mean there's no response, is she okay? Is she-she alive?" Dimitri said. I could see the pain in his eyes, there is something which I am not aware of. Wait he loves her, OH GOD, Dimitri loves Rose. It was clearly visible in his eyes, he loved her, he loved her so much, there were tears in his eyes. I have never even seen him with a sad face and now he was crying, because of her. OH NO.

"I don't know, I think she is still unconscious, she wasn't in a very good condition when the strigoi took her."

"Okay keep trying that." Alberta said "And when you know something, tell me."

"Well, you Belikov need a coffee and some rest." Alberta said to Dimitri and he nodded.

Rose POV

I don't know where I am, the last thing I remember, I was near the church and there were strigoi there. STRIGOI. Oh no. I am in a freaking strigoi den right now. with chains, god they had chained me to the walls. Really?

I can't believe this; I am going to die soon. OH. FUCK.

The only thing I can do for now is hope that I get a quick death, or I can tell lissa where I am and she can tell someone about this. Maybe I have the slightest chance of getting saved.

I have to try talking to her.

"Lissa, can you hear me?" I tried asking her through the bond. I don't know if it will work but it has to. I cannot die.

"Oh god Rose, is that you? Are you okay?" she asked me.

"Yes, I guess I am, are you okay?" 

"Yeah. Where are you, Rose?"

"I am in a cave, and I don't think it's far from the school. Lissa, you have to tell this to Dimitri. Ask him about this cave, please. Liss my whole body hurts right now, I don't even know if I am gonna survive, but I cannot let aaaaahhhh."

A strigoi was hitting me with an iron rod. Really dude? And I was damn sure I had a broken tibia now. Why are they doing this to me? God, my whole body hurts like hell. Then again, he bashed me on my hand with something. I tried to kick him with my other leg he stumbled but that actually made him angry, oh no. Then I was able to feel fangs near my neck but I was in no condition to fight, and just like that he fed on me and I wasn't able to do anything.

"Rose are you okay? What happened?" lissa asked me.

"Liss they are-they are torturing me, help-help me lissa, please." And then I felt someone hitting on my head with a lot of pressure and just like that everything went black again,  god I hate being weak.
