I'm sat down on my couch messaging Paige when all of a sudden I hear a loud beep coming from outside, I bit back my smile shouting bye to my dad and running out the door, jumping into the passenger seat of Javon's car.
He reaches over the controls to open the door for me as it was locked, as I jumped in a shut the door buckling up. "Helooo" I sing smiling.
"Hey, finally" he jokes
"What do you mean finally! Your the one who's ten minutes late!" I complain.
"I'm joking, now be quiet so we can sing to my playlist"
I shrug, turning up his music full blast and singing to artists such as SZA, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Taylor Swift. He was playing our playlist that we had made.
"So, how's your mom"? he asks gently, making my body tense up.
"Well, she's still in hospital and my dad's not coping the best without her but everything will be fine soon " I say trying to convince myself.
"I think your the strongest girl I know Fee, I hope you and your family are ok" he smiles gently, resting his soft hand on my thigh, rubbing his thumb up and down it. My body tingled with butterflies.
"Thank you Javon, and I think your probably the kindest boy I know" I smile softly, tears held back in the corner of my eyes. He smiles back at me, his smile comforting and full of light. He turns his vision to now face the road, concentrating as he pulls into a random car park outside a gas station.
