The Boy Named Noah (On Hold)
"You can't control who you fall for," he looked at me with watery eyes, "and someday, you'll understand what I'm trying to say, just wait." With that he picked his bags and headed towards the door. The first man I had come to love disappeared behind the wooden door. His figure that always protected me vanished. He was gone, he had left. My father had left.
Have you ever seen a stranger and got this feeling of connection between you two? Well, that's exactly how Evelyn felt when she saw him. A connection.
Starting her second year of high school, everything had been working out pretty well for her. She had good friends, all her teachers loved her and she was getting good grades as well. Little did she know that she was in for a change, this year. She was going to meet someone who would break her shell, someone who wanted to be friends with the real her, someone who wanted to be friends with Evelyn and not the girl she pretended to be. He was the boy who was to teach her what it was like to smile a smile that wasn't fake, the boy who was to teach her to be happy again.
"Does it matter? What we feel for each other is more than enough," he said as he came closer to her. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," she stuttered, "You don't need to be afraid to love somebody, especially me. I'm different, remember?" he whispered.
It wasn't as easy as Evelyn thought it would be. She was about to take a ride in a roller-coaster of emotions. She was to experience many new emotions.
