Youngjae is a journalism student who dreams of becoming a famous reporter. He is ambitious, competitive, and ruthless in his pursuit of scoops. He has no interest in animals or romance, until he meets Haejin, a photography student who volunteers at an animal shelter called Happy Paws. Haejin is passionate, kind, and gentle in his care for the animals. He has a special bond with them, especially with Nero, a black dog who was abused by his previous owner. As Youngjae writes an article about Happy Paws for his magazine, he gets to know Haejin and his world better. He learns about the challenges and joys of running a non-profit organization, the conflicts and dilemmas of animal rights and welfare issues, and the beauty and emotion of life through Haejin's lens. He also discovers his own feelings for Haejin, which are complicated by a mystery that threatens to destroy everything they hold dear. Will Youngjae be able to expose the truth and save the day? Will he be able to confess his love and win Haejin's heart? Will he be able to find his happiness and purpose in life?
