A tiny snippet of a much larger worldbuilding universe of mine. Synopsis: There are two sides to every story, no matter how narrow the scope of that story may be; there is a villain for every hero, no matter the nature of either. To Mo Long- to the world- Jin Guang is a villain, driven by his tragic past to do unforgivable things. To Jin Guang, to the Barrier of Shenzhou, he himself is a villain, tearing apart the life and love he should have had for the sake of nothing at all. A villain should not love. A villain should be cold and cruel and uncompromising, should place that selfish ideal above all else. But he loved. It was a love inherently flawed, inherently broken in nature, but it was love all the same, despite its nature and its end. And thus did the garden of his torment grow.
