Vanessa Mills is the daughter of Regina Mills and her first love, Daniel Colter, also known as the Stable Boy. Her magic may be dark, but her heart is one of the purest in the land.

After Regina saved Snow White, she was forced by her own mother, Cora, to marry Snow's father, King Leopold, leading to her becoming the Evil Queen. Although Vanessa and her mother hated Snow White, that didn't stop her from falling in love with a 'hero' of her own. The day she met her True Love, Prince Charming, wasn't actually the first time they had met. The two had met in their younger years and have liked each other since, but never said anything. When they reunited in a village, the two ended up sharing their feelings for each other, and thus their journey together began. Vanessa fell pregnant around the same time as Snow, when tragedy struck. Vanessa and Snow had to give up their children, in hope that one day they would all be reunited, and their children would save them.

The Evil Queen cast the Dark Curse, sending everyone to a Land Without Magic, known as Storybrooke, Maine. In this small, secluded town, everyone's real memories were replaced with fake ones. Not only did Vanessa lose her daughter, she also lost the love of her life. One day, two strangers came to town, a blonde woman, Emma, and a brunette woman, Harper. The two were brought to town by Vanessa's adopted younger brother, Henry Mills, who he believed were the saviors. Not only did he believe they were the saviors, but he also believed Harper was his birth mother and Vanessa's daughter.

Did Regina find out about her daughter falling in love with an enemy? Will Vanessa be reunited with her family? Will she forgive her mother for separating her family?
