A recently out divorcee must explore his identity and how to not be the straight-acting man he's been his whole life. Just when he has found his footing, a flamboyant trans man jumbles up his ideas about what it means to be gay, to be masculine, to be a man.

***

Edwin realises he's gay at the ripe age of 56. Coming-out should set him free to finally explore his sexuality, but honestly?

He feels lost.

He's getting a divorce after thirty years of marriage, half of his friends turn out to be homophobes, he feels an interloper in LGBT places, and for the first time ever, he's living alone. His only remaining certainty - the one he's risked everything for - is that he's attracted to men.

To affirm his sexuality, Edwin focuses on everything masculine and seeks out gay men like him. But just when he finds his footing, a flamboyant gay man jumbles up all his ideas about what it means to be gay, to be masculine, to be a man.

If Edwin wants to find his community, he'll need to re-examine what it takes to belong.

Noah Reed Wants The Moon (bxb) ✔️ by Iris-hope
49 parts Complete
"I always thought I was the ocean, you know? Always reaching for things I can't have. Always crashing into people who don't want me back. The moon pulls. The ocean follows. Even when it hurts." "You don't have to, Noah. Why can't you stay? Why can't the ocean stay with the shore?" *** Noah Reed has spent years trying to outrun the boy he used to be- the one who froze under his father's fists, the one who kissed a stranger under the stars and watched him disappear. When Noah and his mother escape their violent home and move to Novacrest, he's prepared to rebuild quietly: new school, new friends, a job at a café, and maybe-finally-something like peace. Milo, the sweet, steady football player who keeps showing up for him, feels like exactly that. Until Noah sees him. Eli Blake. Quarterback. Golden boy. Untouchable. And the first boy Noah ever kissed. Eli acts like he doesn't remember him at all. But his eyes say something else-fear, anger, longing, something sharp enough to cut. Thrown together for a biology project, their old summer-camp secret forces its way back, tearing open every wound Noah has tried to bury. And just when Noah's heart begins leaning toward Milo, Eli breaks through his defenses... and kisses him again. Now the past is unraveling, the truth is clawing its way out, and Noah has to choose between the boy who makes him feel safe and the boy who makes him feel seen. Because oceans don't choose what pulls them. But Noah has to- before he breaks apart for good. Book One in the Ocean & Moon series.
A Little Bite of Magic Goes a Long Way (BxB) by OwlieCat
20 parts Complete
Matt Rose is nothing special. Though he's friends with witches and vampires, monsters and ghosts, Matt himself has always been painfully mundane. So, when an accident reveals he has a gift of his own, Matt is overjoyed. For his husband, Ben, on the other hand, it seems like one weird thing too many. With a growing rift between them, Matt can't understand why Ben doesn't love the magic in their lives the way he does, and why he seems able to make time for just about everyone and everything except for him. Finally, when things reach a breaking point just days before their first anniversary, Matt is devastated. With his heart in pieces, he decides to take matters into his own hands, get the truth, and win Ben back. As he quickly discovers, though, magic is fickle--a coin with two sides. A little bit of it can go a long way, and not always in the direction he might have hoped. --- About this story: This story features characters from the Ari & Soren books, 'Bound by Blood (formerly titled 'Breath of Osiris') and 'Hecate's Gift.' It is an interlude between the end of book 2 and the beginning of Book 3. -SGG, 2020/06/05) --- Rating: PG 13, some language and sexuality, non-explicit. --- Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction.
