Raised by her Grandmother after the untimely death of her parents at age 16, Khasheena Kane puts her focus into being the Doctor that her always wanted her to be. However, pursuing her dreams becomes increasingly difficult after graduating from University. Not able to land a job at any of the prestigious institutions she applies to, Khasheena settles into a reluctant position at a less than reputable clinic. The Director, a snarky, entitled, good-for-nothing playboy, who calls himself her boss, adds spark to her career oriented life, drawing out the bright side in Khasheena that she didn't know she'd lost.
