This Star Wars story follows the life of Cassiopeia Mille Astéria, a young Jedi who navigates the difficulties of growing up under the guidance and watchful eye of the Jedi Council. Cassie's life changes when Mace Windu recruits her as a Jedi initiate. Although being older than usual initiates causes peers to question her abilities, she settles into life at the Jedi Temple and meets other young Jedi-in-training. A couple of years later, she meets Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan instantly acts as a mentor for Cassie, guiding her as she continues along the path of the light side. However, it takes a while for Cassie and Anakin to warm up to each other but soon enough, they're nearly inseparable. I do not own any of George Lucas' work! All characters and plots from the Star Wars Universe belong to him. But there was more, much more. He was arrogant, headstrong, always biting off more than he could chew. He was strong, brave, and at times unbelievably kind. He made me laugh, and we taught each other how to love. But Anakin was also a man who wanted too much, who cared too much. It lead him astray, away from me, from good into evil. But was it just for evil? The thing always questioned, to this day. Could the universe indeed be as black and white as I painted? No, not anymore. Not from what I had seen and experienced. How could I still love a man who'd fallen so far? If the world was just good and evil- I should hate him- but it was not that simple. It never was. Miriel Lillevere has has known Padmé Amidala for a long time now. The title says it all. This is the story of what could have been, if Anakin Skywalker hadn't turned down the dark path that he did. I know this story is a very common prompt, but I would like to give my take on it. The story starts a little while after AOTC. The whole story will be Anidala, but I may include other ships later in the story, depending on how far I get. The chapters are quite long, so do not be scared away by the fact that there are not many chapters!

This is a fanfic about Padme if she had survived in Revenge of the Sith and how her presence could have effected the events following in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.
