Fire was an element that either commanded respect or consumed fear. Aelita Kenshin had experienced both feelings during her sixteen years of life. A firebending master reduced to nothing but the hollow shell of what she once was, the smell of blood and burnt flesh haunted her every waking moment. The Butcher of Ba Sing Se no longer trusts the power beneath her fingertips, because she killed the last airbender. The entire world believed the Avatar to be dead and nearly all of the Akira's world thought she was too. Forced to leave Aelita behind without even her body to say goodbye to, Aang and the others grapple with the grief that threatens to overwhelm them with only their desire for peace and justice to push them forward. Years had passed since the children of Fire Lord Ozai had pretended that they were a family. Welcomed home as war heroes next to their sister, twin Princes Zuko and Zetzu are thrust back into the game of thrones. Saddled with guilt and anger alike, the two are forced to face the demons that threaten to burn them alive but with tensions rising faster than Sozin's Comet approaches, it soon becomes clear that only one of them can be left to inherit their family's scorched legacy. Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have the desire, will and energy to achieve what they want. Children of the only waterbender in the Southern Water Tribe and a firebending lord of a distant land, Kaliya and Kaito Chalukya, children of opposite elements, are born as shadowbenders. Growing up with both their loving parents, they were treated as outcasts in their village, even by their only uncle. Their only friends within the Water Tribe, besides each other, are their cousins, Sokka and Katara, despite Hakoda's protests. Being trained in their power like firebenders, the twins navigate what it really means to be shadowbenders when they discover the true extent of their powers as they grow up. Their power and knowledge are put to use when their reckless (and slightly clueless) cousins find the Avatar, prompting the four cousins to help their family's brand new "egghead" (described by Kaliya) find teachers to help him master all four elements before the eastern world goes up into flames. As the GAang continue their journey and expand their group, the twins trust in their own family and friends' loyalty towards them are put to test when they stumble upon a powerful foe

Katara and Azula both end up getting forcefully recruited to join the League of Assassins and end up being the best. They start out as enemies but end up as the only people they have. Leaving their old lives behind and beginning a new. This is my first story to don't judge too harshly. these ladies are my favorite characters and I absolutely love them. I have an idea for the story but I'm going to kind of go along with whatever happens, I don't have a set plan at all. All of the names that the girls are given are Latin words that I think fit each character the best. I don't know if this has been done before but I thought of this on my own and the cover isn't my own art. I need to finish this and then heavily edit it.

Following the time line of the show, but with a twist. What if zutara was canon?! In my opinion the writers could have gone down that road but I also ship kataang. I just love these two together even more. So I had to write this after rewatching the show for the millionth time. Mostly fluff but some smut.

Sorry my male audience!!! Long ago, the nations lived in harmony, but the story always leaves out 2 other nations. These 2 nations joined together and were very powerful. The other nations didn't like the fact that this one nation was so powerful and had joined together as one, so they attacked. Many light benders, and Dark benders had died, along with people who couldn't bend. The Avatar came to try and make peace, but it wouldn't help. Many people escaped and created their very own island that no one would know about except for light and dark benders and the Avatar...
