She's pretty content with her life, and her demon friend Aradia. She kinda loves her job, but what happens when two demon brothers are out for her for a little payback on some demons her and a few other hunters had killed. Will they spare her?

Panting, we rush out into the ashen grey field. We were being chased. - Your name is (y/n), you've been trying to stay alive during this war outbreak that went even more to hell with your friend, Dirk Strider. The five year war was over, but survivors were scarce. The nuclear war created a disease. People would become cannibals. Zombies. For two years, you've been traveling on foot with your "best friend" Dirk Strider. but zombies had invaded your so-called "hidden" camp, causing you and Dirk to evacuate. All is about as good as any situation could be in an apocalypse until you run into another boy. That boy's name just so happened to be Dave Strider, that same boy that got kidnapped from you just a year prior. - The three of you travel together throughout the cities, trying to find any source of civilization. Hardships and worries make you grow closer each of the boys over time.. It was all well... Until you had to move. What happened to all your friends and who was Dave Strider?

Technically, John met her first. And then Karkat did. And then Dave did, but about a month or so after. He couldn't help but feel a little bit out of the loop- after all, he was missing out on a good opportunity to make a new friend. Well, at least that's what he told himself. After he started to notice everything about her- her laugh, her smile, what she orders from Starbucks- he knew in the back of his mind that that lie simply wasn't going to work anymore. This is a Dave x reader as you can tell, where You're character, who is selectively mute, moves to Texas where Dave lives and bumps into him at school.

Enjoy some cute Dave x Reader fluff :) it's a little short (maybe only one or two chapters) but I assure you, it'll be good.

Dave strider is an asshat. But I love seeing him all soft and off guard when he's with someone he cares about. In this case that someone is (Y/N). I hope you enjoy the story and don't mind all the head cannons.
