Coming home for the summer was supposed to be simple. No expectations. No plans. Just sun, sea air, and time spent with the people she grew up with. After two years away at college, Fairhaven welcomes her back exactly as it always has - familiar, warm, and unchanged. As she reconnects with her childhood friends, old feelings begin to resurface, and one friendship starts to feel like something more. Between beach days, late-night drives, and quiet moments by the shore, she realises that sometimes the best love stories start where everything already feels like home.

After everything that's happened, she's made a promise to herself no more running, no more meaningless hookups, and no more pretending she's fine when she isn't. Moving to a quiet beach town after her mothers job transfer is supposed to be her fresh start, a chance to focus on herself and finally leave the past where it belongs. 17 year old Jack Lacy is the definition of chaos. Fast cars, fast nights, and a smirk that hides more than it shows. He's a player, a liar, and the last person Willow should get close to. From the start, they clash-too stubborn, too sharp, too unwilling to back down. But hate has a way of turning into something else. And the more they push, the more the tension between them pulls. Soon, they're caught in something neither of them saw coming, something raw, something real. Yet secrets don't stay buried. Lies always surface. And once the truth is out, there's no turning back. Because love and hate are a dangerous pair- And some betrayals are beyond repair. *Note*- this book is very fast paced as a lot happens throughout the span of the book!!!

Jules Rivera had a plan. She had a very careful, very civilized plan: move from her mother's quiet country home to Manhattan. Establish herself as an artist, one gallery show at a time. Take her mother's well-meaning advice to "date more," but on her own terms; something sophisticated, something curated, maybe dinners with men who wore good shoes and knew how to pronounce Chagall. Dating was to be an accessory, not a distraction. What she did not plan on? Getting derailed by a brown leather journal that lands on her doorstep by mistake. ‎ ‎She should have returned it. She didn't. ‎ ‎And what she read changed everything. ‎

Liam thought that the only significant event that would ever occur in his life would be his parents getting a divorce. But that's where he was wrong. Suddenly, Liam's average Australian teenage boy life is thrown up into the air when he and his mum decide to move to California. Liam finds himself with a buzzing social life that he never had before and of course, a beautiful girl living next door. Will the craziness of teenage life get in the way or will one shake be all it takes? *AUTHOR'S NOTE* I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to anyone who was waiting for me to take this story further. I feel like I hit a bit of a brick wall. I love this story, it was the first time I started writing for me and not for school. I was getting some major writer's block when it came to this story which felt weird because the creative juices had been flowing up to this point. I love this story and the characters and I finally realised that any writing I tried to force out would be really bad quality and that it could ruin the story. I do realise that this is very frustrating; I would be annoyed if someone did it to me. But I really think that in this case, less is more. I may come back to this story one day, but I make no promises. I feel like my time with Liam and Saskia has come to an end. They can enjoy their summer in peace! Basically, this is just a feel-good summer read, and I hope I've brought you some enjoyment at least. xx RomanceWriter2000 :)

If Ameila Corrigan had to do describe herself, she'd say something as close as that, instead of being a comic book nerd and a dog loving person. She was a cat person who loves romance novels, going out to the beach, spending time out at night walking around with her best friend, Neil Lewis. Neil has been Amelia's best friend since the start of high-school. They both met one another in their first period, is what she remembered. If Neil Lewis ever had to to describe himself, he'd say that he was a dog loving comic book nerd who loves Spider-Man a little to much. He could remember so much about Amelia. Everything they've been through. Now Neil, he's had this thing for Amelia since freshman year. Love at first sight or even head over heels for her. Would his love change for her.

A thought-provoking take on the classic beach read, "The Second Week in August" will have you thrown into a love triangle like no other. Which side will you take? Throw it on in the background, look out for little references hidden throughout, and don't forget to let me know if you spot the clues ;)
