"I'm setting aside the money for the kids tonight." I said, Jackson wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Oh, don't worry about that. I got it."
"What do you want, Avery?" I asked. He laughed.
"Nothing. Just let me handle some things, superwoman.."
"Anytime. Feel free to take your demons off my hands."
"I got go. I have a surgery for Nisha." He said looking at his watch, referring to the biker who'd gotten hit instead of us.
"Oh, you're gonna pretend like you didn't hear me?" He kissed my cheek, walking down the hall.
"Asshole.."
"What did he do?" Mer asked.
"He's just a butthole." She laughed, suddenly clearing her throat and looking down.
"Hello, ladies." Daveed said, smiling.
"Hi, Daveed."
"Meredith? Are you going to say hello to me?" He asked.
"No." She smirked then walked away.
"That woman is... definitely interesting." He said then bit his lip, watching her walk away.
"What's interesting is my daughter knowing what a hooker is. Wanna tell me why she suddenly knows that after spending the weekend with Uncle Daveed?" I eyed him.
He nervously chuckled.
"You see, um, she... I... I forgot to do my rounds so I'm gonna go." He rambled before walking away.

"Good afternoon, Dr. Bailey." Linda smiled.
I returned the smile, looking for my babies. Rae sat at one of the corner tables, building blocks with a little boy. JJ looked back and forth between the older women before putting his mouth on the toy car.
I chuckled, taking the car away from him and picking him up. He giggled then fussed, reaching for it.
"Not if you're gonna eat. You wanna break the teeth you don't have?"
He glared at me, slapping my chest with his tiny hand as his way of saying he was angry with me. I laughed, putting him down then going to see Rae.
"Hi, mom."
"What're you up to?"
"Blocks with Joseph. He's helping me build a castle."
"You gonna be the queen?"
"Yeah, and I'll be the king." Joseph said.
"Sorry to crush your dreams, Joe, but her father's a lunatic. He'd never allow it."
"That's okay. I'll win him over someday."
I felt a tap on my shoulder as someone cleared their throat. My eyes landed on Parker who stood with his hands together; guess the military never leaves you.
"Sage, I was sent to inform you that Dr. Avery's losing it in the hyperbaric chamber."
"What? What are you talking about?"
I remembered the surgery he was in. Her case was special to him because she was hit instead of us. He couldn't figure out why the universe could let something like that happen.
I kissed Rae's head, rushing to the hyperbaric chamber. Aunt Mir stood at the door with a sorrowful look on her face as Jackson moaned in desperation.
"I need out of here." Jackson spoke as he ripped his gloves and mask off.
"Are you gonna call time of-" Schmitt started.
"Time of death, 18:21. I need out." Jackson wildly moved towards the door, pushing the medical tools off the table.
"Dr. Avery, we need to wait until the room is completely pressurized." Schmitt told him.
"Open the door. Open it!" Jackson yelled to Aunt Mir and I.
"You'll put yourself at extreme risk!" Schmitt continued.
"Open the door and let me out, now!" Jackson banged on the door.
I looked to Aunt Mir but she shook her head no, giving me a sad look before walking away. His eyes filled with tears as his face frowned up and he mumbled.
"Please.. please. Baby, open the door."
"I can't. It's not safe."
"Open the door! Let me out!" He shouted as he suddenly banged on the door, scaring me. I slightly jumped back.
"Ricky, uh, could you-"
"Yeah. I got him." One of the nurses assured.

"Hi, babies." I smiled, hugging them.
Lyla was picking up their toys and putting away the blankets. She picked them up and brought them home due to the daycare having to close for the rest of the day.
"How were they?" I asked.
"Raegan couldn't stop talking about some boy named Joseph. She also didn't finish dinner, it's in the fridge. JJ was a complete fuss. He only had milk, no solid foods, and will not let anyone touch his teddy bear."
I looked at my crazy children. Rae colored a picture while JJ bounced in the large storage bin, chewing on his pacifier and clutching the teddy bear.
"Okay, not as good as I'd hoped but I'll take it, thank you. Jackson will pay you when he gets here."
I grabbed the stubborn baby out of the bin, holding my hand out for the bear. He looked between my hand and eyes before dropping it on the floor.
"Little shit." I said, bending down to pick it up as he giggled.
The door opened; Jackson came in with sad, red eyes and a sorrow look. Lyla put her plate in the sink, throwing her cup away and greeting him.
"Dr. Avery, hi." She smiled. He kept silent, sitting his bag on the couch.
"I ran everything down for your wife so anything you need to know, you can ask her. I was told you were paying me?" She inquired. He still kept silent, almost burning a hole in her face with his glare.
"Dr. Avery?"
He suddenly pushed the vase off the table, flowers and dirt covering the floor. Lyla screamed, jumping back with fear in her eyes.
"Could you back off!? What the hell is your problem?!" He shouted.
"I'm sorry, I-"
"Get out. You clearly see that I am not in the mood and you're still in my face. Go!"
"Jackson, stop." I placed JJ back in the bin before going towards them.
She stood scared, tears in her eyes as she watched Jackson's every move.
"Get out!" He screamed at her. I stepped between them.
"I'll pay you once I get everything settled. Let me know when you get home safe." She nodded, grabbing her bag and leaving.
"Are you out of your mind?" I asked, approaching him. He looked down at me, nodding.
"Yeah, maybe I am." He stated before going into the bedroom and shutting the door.
