Tell me whatcha say now
Tell me whatcha say, come again
If you cannot stay down then you don't have to pretend
Like there is no way out, I shoulda never let you in

The Worst by Jhené Aiko played through Constance earphones as she leaned up on the bus pole. She was on the bus so she could go to an interview for one of the fashion designer schools. She was hoping to get into at least one of the five schools she had applied to.

She wanted to get into the school so bad, so she could get started on her business. She had so many outfits in a bin that she had designed and were ready to sell across the world. If only she wasn't so scared behind people's opinion then she would've sold her things on Instagram already. But, sadly people always had something to say about others.

As she sung the rest of the song in her head, she felt someone touching her waist. She look back seeing two guys had came up to her. One look down at her and she noticed it was the guy from the corner store.

She turned back around fixing her bag on her shoulder. She moved up a little in the tight space since she didn't want to be close to them. Unfortunately, one of the guys moved up to her. He pressed himself against her, wrapping his hands around her waist.

"Please get off me." She said trying to move his hands off her, but he gripped her tightly. He leaned down to her neck and gave her a kiss, looking to make her very uncomfortable.

"Get off me!" She said louder catching people's attention on the bus.

She kept trying to get his hands off her, but he held her tightly chuckling in her ear. He liked the amusement of her struggling, it made him very hard. Constance felt his dick against her back and she was getting very uncomfortable.

"Please...stop." Her voice cracked as she kept trying to take his hands from around her. She noticed people were just watching and not helping and it made her upset.

Finally getting his grip off her, she quickly pulled the bus bell instantly stopping the bus. She shoved the guy just as the driver opened the door. She hurried off the bus as tears roll down her face.

She walked in a store she saw and went right in the bathroom. She lock the door then stood in front of the mirror.

"Relax Constance." She tried calming herself down by taking deep breaths. She felt sick to her stomach about what happened.

She felt even sicker at the thought of the many people that just watched as she got assaulted. No one helped out and instead just went about their business. Constance shut her eyes tightly, she inhaled deeply then exhaled slowly calming herself. Once she was somewhat alright, she took her phone out her bag then went to the internet. She looked up the directions to College For Creative Studies seeing how far it was.

"40 mins if I walk..." she pause letting out a defeated sigh. "Guess I'm walking." she mumbled fixing herself up. She put on her hood and pushed her curly hair inside so it wasn't in her face.

Walking out the bathroom, she put her free hand in her pocket while she held her phone. She exited out the store then followed her GPS to her destination. She for sure was going to be late, but making it was all she wanted to do right now.

"Yooo!" Demetrius shouted walking in his parents house. He shut the front door behind him then took off his sneakers.

"YO-eww." he said once he saw his dad wearing just his boxers and a robe.

Darnell suck his teeth at his son, "Boy, fuck you. You in my damn house." he responded walking in the living room. Demetrius chuckled at him going in the living room as well, he plopped on the couch next to his dad. Darnell eyed his son then shook his head drinking his beer.

"I swear if you and that ugly ass girlfriend of yours is arguing and she come to my house doing that bullshit, I will punch the shit out of you." Darnell informed him changing the channel to ESPN.

"No need to lead to violence sir, but she's not going to come over here. At least that's what I think." Demi mumbled to himself, but Darnell heard him.

"Demetrius, you think I'm playing and I'm being serious right now. I dislike that girl and her loud ass."

Demetrius nodded his head already knowing his dad didn't like Summer. Hell, both of his dads didn't like Summer and nor did Octavia. They didn't like that a 23 year old women was messing around with a 20 year old. They knew Demetrius was grown, but he was still childish sometimes and no women would want to be messing with a boy like that. And Demetrius knew he was childish as well, but there were times he wasn't. However, it wasn't all the time.

"I know dad. You and Pops never fail to remind me that every time you see me. I'm starting to think that's all y'all really think about." Demi joked, but Darnell didn't find anything funny. Deep down in his heart, he disliked Summer cause she was the plain definition of ghetto.

The loud talking, constant yelling about stupid things, and always starting issues with his son. He disliked it every bit and wonder why in the hell Demetrius got with a female like her.

"I don't think about her and neither does your dad."

"Mhm, but while we speaking on pops. Where is he?"

"He went shopping with Octavia. You already know how them two be all damn day with that shit." Darnell told him and Demi nodded his head.

His other dad, Remy, and Octavia were always going out with each other. Demi thought it'll be weird for the three of them after he was born, but instead it wasn't. All through his life Demi would say he had three parents since he considered Octavia his mother. Of course people had their opinions on a same sex couple having a child and of course he got bullied for having two dads. But, he was different and he enjoyed having three parents.

Demi look at his phone seeing that Summer was calling him. He declined the call then got up off the couch.

"Where you going?" Darnell questioned looking up at him.

"In your room to sleep sir." Demetrius answered moving his dad feet off the table so he could walk past.

"Don't lay on my bed, Demi."

"Too late."

"So, what y'all just be outside all the time even if it's cold?" Constance questioned as she follow behind Demetrius.

He turned towards her, walking backwards. "Basically, we like being outside since Detroit is fun for the most part besides the crimes here or there. You hang outside where you from?" he asked out of curiosity, Constance tuck in her lips since she wasn't "hanging" outside all the time.

"Umm...somewhat just not all the time." She answered, Demetrius nodded his head turning around and walking up to Jayden and Cannon.

"Ayee, it's the nigga that have a crazy girlfriend!" Jayden exclaimed once they approached them.

"Shut the hell up." Demetrius said dapping him up then Cannon.

"Not our fault your dating someone that have trust issues." Cannon remarked, squinting his eyes at Constance.

"Who ole girl?" He asked pointing at her.

"Stop pointing and that's Constance. Constance, these are my dumb ass friends Cannon and Jayden." Demetrius introduced them as he leaned up on the car.

"Dumb? I think the fuck not. I'm a very well educated young black man." Jayden said and Demetrius shook his head.

"Nah, you dumb as hell."

"Says the nigga that stayed with a girl that stabbed him. Not too smart are you huh?"

Demetrius flip Jayden off and he chuckled before walking off. Constance raise her brow hearing that Demetrius was stabbed. It wasn't her business, but she was curious

"You got stabbed by your girlfriend?" She asked out of curiosity.

"Sadly, yes. Our relationship is complicated at the moment." He answered and she slowly nodded her head.

"Sorry to hear that." She apologized for some reason. She shook her head cursing to herself.

"Why you apologizing? It's not like you did anything to me shawty." He told and she shrugged her shoulders.

"I know...ion know why I did it. Sorry." She apologized again lowly. It was a habit of hers for apologizing for no reason even if someone didn't do anything to her.

She leaned up on the car looking around at everyone. She was highly curious as to why so many people were out here in the cold. They were just chilling and talking to their friends. It might've been a Detroit thing for all she knew. Whatever it was, she liked it somewhat.

As she continued looking around, a familiar face stood out to her and she hated that she remembered him. It seem like she couldn't get away from him and she hated it. Leaning off the car, she stood in front of Demetrius making him look down at her.

"Do you know that light skin guy with the dreads?" She asked. Demetrius look around until he seen who she was talking about.

"I know of him...why you tryna talk to him?" He asked and Constance frown.

"No, I just wanted to know. I'm going to go home."

"Hold on." Demetrius grabbed her hand before she walked away. "Forget what I said, but there's a party this weekend and you should come."

"I'm not really the party type Demetrius." She told him and he nodded his head.

"I understand, but come on. I'll be there tho, so youn have to worry bout nothing. So, you coming?" He asked rubbing her hand unintentionally. Constance look down at his and he quickly stopped.

"My fault." He apologized letting go of her hand.

"It's okay, but I guess I'll come to the party. I'll see you." She walked off and Demetrius watched her to make sure she was good. Sean, the light skin boy, walked over to him smiling ear to ear.

"It's Demetrius right?" he asked soon as Demi look over at him.

"Demi." he corrected him and Sean nodded his head, playing with his dreads.

"Cool, you and that girl friends or something?"

"Nah, I barely know her homeboy." Demetrius lied since he was getting a weird vibe from him.

Sean rub his chin, nodding his head. "Aight, cool. Never mind then, I'll holla at you later." he stuck his fist out for Demetrius to pound. Demetrius look down at his hand then gave him a simple head nod instead. Sean gave him a smile before walking away, Demi shook his head going on his phone.

"Only light skin niggas."
