*ONE WEEK LATER*
The bell rang and you walked out of school. You were just about to get into your car when the mean girls came up to you.
"Hey y/n!" Ashley, the girl who kissed Edward, said.
"Ashley, Ava, Izzy." You rolled your eyes.
"Edward's probably only dating you to play hard to get with us." Ashley snickered.
"Yeah, how much did you pay him to go out with you? Because he'd never go out with someone like you." Izzy laughed. You sighed.
Suddenly, Edward walked around the corner.
"Is that so? Because last time I checked, I asked y/n out, and you guys are still repulsive to me." Edward said.
"Edward! We were just kidding! You guys are-" Ava replied.
"Save it. We're leaving." Edward said, hopping into the car. He started driving, but turned down a different road.
"Where are we going?" You asked.
"To someplace special." Edward replied. He stopped the car in front if his house. But you didn't go inside. He walked you through the woods to a meadow of flowers.
"This place is beautiful." You said, sitting down on the grass.
"I like to come here to think." Edward replied.
Suddenly, Alice ran up to you guys from out of nowhere.
"Edward, I have bad news. The Volturi know." Alice exclaimed.
"I didn't think they'd find us. I'm so sorry y/n. I put you in danger. We need to fix this." Edward explained.
"What? What's the Volturi?" You asked, curiously.
"Well, long story short, they're basically the vampire police. And the biggest rule we're supposed to follow is don't expose ourselves to other people." Edward explained.
"And what's the punishment if you do?" You asked. Alice and Edward looked at each other, worried.
"They kill you." They said in unison. You started to breath heavily in fear.
"What can we do?" You asked, panicking.
"There's only one way." Alice replied.
"No. We aren't going to do that!" Edward shouted.
"Would you rather her die?!" Alice yelled back.
"We can't just change her! She has to live a full life! We can't just take that from her!" Edward answered, angrily. Watching them argue only made you more scared. Without realizing, you'd started to cry. Both Alice and Edward turned to you and sighed.
"I'm sorry, y/n. We shouldn't have brought you into this. We can fix this. I just don't know how yet. You buried your face into your arms couldn't stop your tears from flowing out.
"I've seen it y/n. It's gonna be okay." Alice exclaimed.
"Hey," Edward said, sitting beside you.
"If you have to change me, then do it. I'd rather spend eternity with you than die from the Volturi." You mumbled. Edward put his arms around you and gave you a tight hug.
"We'll fix this. I promise." He whispered. You put your head on Edward's shoulder and cried. You looked up at him teary eyed. He kissed you softly and smiled.
"You promise?" You asked. He nodded. You pointed up to the sky.
"The sun is coming out. Won't it hurt you?" You asked pulling Edward up. He laughed.
"Just wait." He said, unbuttoning his shirt. You bit your tongue trying not to smile. He opened his shirt to the sun and it was like his skin turned to diamonds.
"Woah." That's all that would come out of your mouth. You stared as his body glistened in the sunlight.
"This is why we don't show ourselves in the sun." Edward explained.
"That makes sense now." You replied.
"Here, let me take you home y/n. We can do whatever you want. I just want you to relax a little. And forget about the Volturi." Edward said, getting into his car.
"Okay." You sighed and hopped into the passengers seat. This time Edward turned on the radio. You looked out the window and your gaze was on the water droplets on the glass.
"Do you not want to listen to the radio? I just thought that you probably don't want to listen to music from the 1900s." Edward explained.
"I like your music. It's nice." You answered still looking out the window. He switched it back to his music and soon you arrived home.
You decided it was finally time to tell your dad that you were back together with Edward. Since he still thought that you and Edward weren't seeing each other anymore. You nervously walked into your house and held Edward's hand. Your dad turned off the T.V. and looked at you and Edward.
"Hey dad, um I had a talk with Edward and we decided that we're gonna start hanging out again." You explained.
"Are you sure?" Your dad asked, eyeing Edward.
"Yes." You answered.
"I promise I'll never hurt her again Mr. l/n. You have my word." Edward exclaimed.
Your dad sighed and nodded. You and Edward walked into your room.
"Wanna watch a movie?" You asked.
"Yeah. Whatever will make you feel better." Edward smiled. You opened up your laptop and turned on clueless.
"What's this movie?" Edward asked.
"Its cute." You giggled. You cuddled up with Edward in your bed and had blankets and pillows surrounding you. Edward laughed a lot throughout the movie. You think that he's actually starting to like it, but any time a guy would come on the screen Edward got anxious. And got very close to you.
"Edward, do you really think I'd choose any of these guys over you?" You laughed.
"No, they're just cuter than me" He said pointing at Christian (one of the guys in clueless).
"Absolutely not! Read my mind and you'll know!" You laughed squishing Edward's cheeks. He laughed and put his arm around you. The movie was about half way done when you felt Edward looking at you. You turned to him and rolled your eyes playfully.
"I thought we were watching a movie." You said, turning back to the screen. After about two minutes Edward looked at you again.
"What?!" You scoffed. Edward leaned to you and kissed you.
"If you wanted to makeout, you could have just said so." You whispered. He kissed you again and you kissed him back but he wouldn't let go.
"Oh my gosh, Edward, let me pause the movie first! Jeez." You laughed and paused the movie. You continued to kiss him when your dad walked into your room.
"Hey!" He shouted.
"Dad! What are you doing in here? How long have you been standing there?!" You panicked.
"Edward, you get your hands off my daughter!" You dad yelled, walking over to your bed.
"Dad, I'm almost eighteen! I'm not a baby anymore." You exclaimed.
"For the record, you're not almost eighteen. You're barely seventeen and you lucky I'm even letting you see him. I just want you to be safe!" He shouted.
"Dad, we're not like that." You replied, annoyed.
"So, you've never-"
"No! Now if you'll excuse us." You said. Your dad awkwardly turned around and left.
"Did I get you in trouble?" Edward asked.
"No, my dad, he's just...protective. Over protective." You replied.
"Well, he'll get over it. I'm sure. I think I can charm him." Edward smiled.
"We'll see about that." You laughed.
